Hotel was very centrally located. It’s a charming slightly old hotel. I imagine it was once “higher-end.” It’s now showing a bit of it’s age: dated room decor and the bathroom is a bit tight. Having said this, breakfast was good, the rooms very clean and the patio restaurant delightful. Location location location

Hotel in a strategic position, very convenient for visiting the city, you can get there directly by car and then park in the partisan parking lot which can then be reached by very comfortable escalators. Hotel with excellent services and efficient staff. The rooms are a bit dated, the bathroom is not too big and the taps need to be reviewed. But overall a more than excellent rating.

I highly recommend Hotel La Rosetta. The staff is quite friendly and a plus for me, spoke English with ease. The rooms are clean and spacious with nice art prints making it homey and inviting. The bathroom was quite nice with both a big bathing tub and a large shower. As everyone writes, the location is excellent, not just for access to the old city but to the parking garage if you are driving. The breakfasts were very good. The old city of Perugia is a lot of fun with such fantastic restaurants in a fairly small area. We did not try the Rosetta restaurant however bc it was more expensive, seemed a little too formal or stuffy and was never packed like the other restaurants. The town is well worth a visit with a great art museum. The small hillside villages and towns are all worth a visit as well.

We had a short stay but wished it could have been longer. The hotel is perfectly located to get to see the historic city center of Perugia. The staff was really above par! We had a mistake with our booking, and they were great at resolving it. Car Parking: We used the public parking as per the website suggest, it was a breeze drove up to the hotel, dropped off the bags, drove down to the car park dropped of the car and on the way up you take 5 sets of electric escalators which bring you directly to piazza Italia.. door to door it could have been more than 8 minutes. The breakfast was decent as per Italian breakfast go (could have use a bit more natural fruit!) Would definitely recommend and stay again

Our third stay at this perfect hotel for exploring the city of Perugia. The staff, especially Mr. Andrea Neri, are very attentive and professional. The breakfast is not to be missed. Located on one of the main pizzas of the city, it is especially convenient for walking to most tourist attractions and restaurants.

First the positives......location. Now the negatives... Avoid Room 50 llike the plague. We had booked a superior double room and were pleasantly surprised to be allocated Room 50 with all it's grandeur, until that is one of us went to the shower. Only to find that the bathroom flooded to almost Biblical proportions !!! No amount of trying to mop up the water with spare towels worked. Response from the Front of House member of staff was to provide more towels, and an explanation of how a previous guest had accidentally broken one of the glass panes in the shower screen (which given it's appearance and condition had clearly been there for a good twenty years or more) which he claimed had been repaired, but that the problem persisted and that staff were aware of this.!!! His solution to the issue was to say "I can't do anything now,we'll deal with it tomorrow" Our reply was that this situation was unacceptable and could we please be moved to another room. Reluctantly he agreed to our request and allocated us Room122. We had booked for three nights, for the remainder of our stay we had quite a frosty reception every time we encountered the said member of staff. On checking out and paying the bill with a credit card a most unusual thing happened. The Front of House staff member on duty that morning asked for payment of the City Tourist Tax in cash. In all our years of travelling in Europe and paying various city taxes we have never been asked for cash payment when using cards.Hmmm? La Rosetta did not live up to expectations, breakfast was average and the coffee from the machine was dreadful. Italian guests must be appalled with it. We wished we had stuck with our first initial choice and gone with La Fortuna around the corner.

The hotel is in a really great central location in Perugia. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are decorated in keeping with the building. The beds were comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. We had an excellent stay.

When you enter Hotel La Rosetta (inconveniently through the restaurant) you see a good number of old prizes and acknowledgments that also hang in the restaurant: all merits of a bygone era when the hotel, I am sure, was one of the best in town.Today is a way different story. Unfortunately, what is left of this hotel is its location and not even that, since Perugia is a city where location is irrelevant, since all interesting spots and art are within a 1/4 mile area. My room was dark, noisy and dated as the hotel is.The "queen bed" was two twin beds somehow put togheter with bumpy mattresses and thin pillows. The beds continuously moved, making it hard to sleep.Hot water was intermittent, soap was frequently missed. Cleaning was superficial.Too many details to continue Regardless of the restaurant curriculum, breakfast was mediocre, especially the scrambled eggs (showing grey and pale yellow colors) kept "warm" with votive candles (those round flat thin candles used in Italian churches). Disgusting. At dinner, the only diners were retired tourist well into their 80s ordering from a prefix menu. The standard of local hotels is not much better than Hotel La Rosetta but Perugia is worth this penance.

After reading several bad reviews, we were disappointed. Completely unjustified. Yes, the building is old, it could probably use a lick of paint and the furniture in the lobby cannot be called new. We think the service is excellent. There is always someone at the reception. Our bed turned out to be sagging, no problem at all, we were given another room, we were allowed to leave the things in the room in order and the bed would be changed the next day (it was almost midnight when we found out that we really weren't going to sleep well like that). ) to be repaired. Our room, 3rd floor on the corner, was not really big, but very attractive. With a beautiful view. The bathroom was very small, showering not ideal. The location is great! The beds sleep wonderfully! The breakfast was fine. Italian, so lots of sweet. But also bread, cheese, ham and salami. And eggs. In short: no, it is not a very luxurious resort. And the price doesn't reflect that either. But the location, the service, and the location :) make up for a lot. Very good price/quality ratio.
