Sun Lodge

There’s a remarkable “je ne sais quoi” charm here; an unfrilled welcome into the cozy home you love to be in. It’s festive and fresh but really truly comfortable from the moment you walk in. The staff is genuinely warm and professional, and Robin at the front desk is a gem of a person. I have stayed twice since they reopened and both times wanted to linger in the lobby on the couches by the fire and take it in-you will too. The restaurant is EXCELLENT. I’ve tried the hummus and veggies, the chicken tenders, deviled eggs, steak frites, and chicken sandwich. I have high marks for all but consistently across the board, everything has made me say “the Chef treated this dish right”. Wine menu is solid and there are awesome cocktails. Our server Eric is a professional through and through. The rooms are exactly as comfortable as you would hope they would be. Beds are great, shower water pressure is solid, there’s a mini fridge, and the hotel shampoo and conditioner are actually really good! I have NEVER said that in my life. Some rooms are ski in/ski out, some face the mountain (cool to see the other skiers) some face the road (you won’t notice much because the view over the valley is stunning) I say all of this as both a local who is glad this is a part of our community, a seasoned hospitality creator, and a mom of a toddler who agrees on all points except the cocktails. Did I mention they have maple milkshakes? These guys are doing it right.

We had stayed at the Sun Lodge several years ago and found it "fine" at best but more run down and hanging in there than anything but the location right on the mountain could not be beat. We had heard it has been completely renovated and updated so decided to give it a try and we were blown away. The new Sun Lodge is great. Comfortable rooms, modern and inviting decor, a great restaurant and bar in the lobby, helpful and engaged staff, and as has always been the case, a fantastic ski in ski out location at the base of Bromley. A super easy and convenient get away with the kids for a quick ski weekend / week going forward. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the newly renovated Sun Lodge. It is beautiful and the beds are so comfortable plus the restaurant serves up yummy food like egg sandwiches in the morning and big bowls of chili and lodge pie at night. As a skier, I absolutely loved being able to boot up in the basement of the hotel and step out onto the slopes. Bromley is awesome. Sun Lodge is a great place to gather with a group of friends! I highly recommend it!

Loved our visit to the newly redesigned Sun Lodge this past weekend. The room was well appointed and had just the right vibe. The service was great and we really enjoyed our dinner. Great place to call home base for Bromley, Magic and Stratton!

Do not trust this establishment. We are currently reporting them to BBB- here’s why. 1. We stay at the resort / we love the mountain proximity. (2.3 out 2.4) 2. While on property, we decide to book for the weekend of 3.8 3. The mountain was having rain- so I call march 1 which is 7 days prior to what I thought was our arrival date. 4. When I do call to cancel - I’m told by the woman on the phone that there is no record of our reservation. I asked her to please check her system again- she said she did- and we have “no reservation to cancel” 5. We review our previous month cc statement - we see a charge from Bromley Lodge for 2 nights 6. I promptly call Bromley who then says we were a “no-show”- I’m perplexed 7. After many calls they tell us they understand the problem where their “asst manager placed the wrong dates- and they apologize and we’ll be refunded. 8. The Weds leading up to the original stay date (3/8) I get an email confirmation. 9. I promptly call tell yet another person what happened, they kind of know -but promised of a call back- 10. After much back and forth / they tell is they will only refund one night. 11. Unacceptable. I will be calling my card company- also sharing my experience w the BBB and all of my friends from my previous employer: Condé Nast . Never again here.

The location of the Lodge at Bromley cannot be beat, right next to the Bromley lifts. This was our second stay at the Lodge at Bromley. During both stays I was struck by the pride and care the staff clearly take in creating a comfortable place to stay. The decor is very no frills Vermont but everything is impeccably clean and in good working order. And all the staff are so friendly, welcoming and hospitable. This trip we stayed in a Family room with a queen and a bunk bed. The kids really enjoyed the bunk bed. The queen bed was perfectly comfortable. We are looking forward to our next stay.
