Mercure Perth on Hay

We stayed for 4 nights and overall the hotel felt more like a 3-star rather than a 4-star. During our stay, we ran out of soap and i asked three times, no one came to replace it until I personally asked the cleaner for a refill. Our first room also had a cracked toilet seat with rough edges that actually scratched us, so we requested a room change. In the second room, the room phone was not working, we went out for the day expecting it to be fixed, but nothing was done by the time we check out the hotel. To be fair, the location is convenient and the staff are friendly, but the experience and maintenance standards did not reflect a 4-star rating. With improvements in housekeeping responsiveness and room upkeep, this hotel could offer a much better stay.

Strategic location at the CBD of Perth. Only thing is the set up of the hotel is quite outdated

We stay during our visit to catch up with my daughter. And for few days, because she will stay with us , we ask for extra bed,it was on 11 July, very late night , no more house keeping around, so a guy who attend reception arranged the extra bed to deliver in next morning,and it's totally free❤️. This hotel located around 15-20 minutes walk from Perth train station. Can buy Day rider pass from train station on weekdays and Family rider on weekends only which is more value as it is for 2 person for the price of 1 and usable on all train, bus and even trans Perth ferry to Mends street from Elizabeth Quay. Hotel is walkable from train station and most of the attractions is nearby the hotel. Hotel is clean with simple breakfast. Overall enjoyed the stay.
