Super 8 by Wyndham Potosi

Stated previously in the areas needing help. Literally, the worst hotel I gave ever seen. Do not go here.

Fine for a long travel day. Check in was fine, it could use an update. The room was clean but could also use an update, the shower was hot, but the room had so few plug ins that we had to unplug the fridge/microwave just to plug in our phones. The bedding could also use an update.

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was after experiencing the lobby at check in. Please update the lobby area. It's the first impression and we weren't impressed. The hallway carpet was also very, very worn in a bunch of places. We didn't get to try the breakfast.

Stains dirt and tears present in in all bedding and towels. Dirt, actual dirt. No way they were laundered. Anyone with eyes can tell it’s filthy. When told about it front desk was like “ ok we can refund you.” Not “ oh my, that’s terrible, how could that be?”

We only changed clothes there for a wedding. We had planned to stay but couldn’t bear to sleep in their beds. We rented a king and a double Queen. Both were horrible. Thin, worn blankets with yellowish sheets. (Bleached burned, I’m assuming.) The front desk area filthy, papers stacked with boxes piled up behind the counter. Everything looked straight from the 1970’s! Carpets with holes in the hallway. Smelled of cheap Airwick Plug-ins. We asked for an iron and board. The housekeeper/check in person gave us a table top version. I had to plug it into a 4 way extension. The 2 towels we were given looked like cleaning rags. I wish I were joking. We drove for 5 hours to get home rather than stay at the not so “Super” 8.

I had a very pleasant check-in and check-out. The towels and sheets looked dirty but I think they were just worn out and stained. The breakfast provided no protein, but the waffles were good. I just walked across the street to the grocery store and bought Greek yogurt to round it out. Otherwise my stay was satisfactory.

Outside appearance was acceptable, staff was acceptable, cleanliness was acceptable. The condition of furniture and refrigerator was past being dump material. Once past room entrance door NOTHING was acceptable.

Great place to sleep. Not noisy or anything vary relaxing. Restaurant in side needs at least someone there if your open went to lunch and sit for 30 minutes with out seeing any one even at the bar. So plan to eat elsewhere. Has the hotel is great and definitely be using it again for the next

During a recent snow storm in Potosi MO, our power went out. Our house got too cold to stay there so we checked in to the only hotel in Potosi, the Not-So-Super-8. Ar first glance, the room looked like a bare bones cheapy hotel room. Then we walked into the room and we almost choked on the smell of BO. The sheets had long black hairs on them, so obviously noone had changed them. The headboard had some questionable stains on it and the bathroom was dirty. Luckily, my wife always brings alcohol wipes when we stay in hotels, so she wiped down the headboard and bathroom. She also brought a fitted sheet and pillows since we were staying locally. She laid on the bed like a corpse, and I'm sure she wouldn't have got any sleep that night. Thankfully, they got the power back on within about 2 hours so we returned to our house. We were out the $90 for the room, but I would have paid $100 to not stay there. This is the 3rd Not-So-Super-8 in a row that we've stayed at that was disgusting. We will not be staying at any more of them. Don't Hotel corporations have some sort of standards for the owners to use their names?
