We usually book Ibis hotels when staying in cities or along our route to our destinations. So, we have seen our share of Ibis hotels and up until today they have been great. But a ‘winning’ streak has come to an end. This was by far the worst hotel (of Ibis) we ever stayed in. First of all the stench outside the hotel. Unfortunately that stench can also be smelled in the hotel. Not in the room though. The room itself looks great and we slept well on the beds. But next morning we noticed that the bathroom was far from clean. As we arrived late and tired the night before, we hadn’t noticed it. Breakfast. Well, hardly any choice, but seen the price we pay that was to be expected. The thing that made us realise we had to leave asap was the fact that everything was filthy. The cutlery and glasses weren’t washed properly. The orange juice was lukewarm, but worst of all was the coffee machine was. It was disgusting. That thing hasn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. When paying our bill we wanted to make some comments, but the young lady behind the desk was more interested in filling out some forms than talking to us. She didn’t even make the effort of standing up and looking at us. Total ignorance at its best. So in conclusion: ignore this hotel. There are plenty other (most likely) better Accor hotels in the neighbourhood. Yes they will be more expensive, but be aware that this isn’t an Ibis Budget hotel and even then, this hotel isn’t even close to the standard of those Budget hotels. And just to emphasise the blatant disinterest in the hotel. There are clocks hanging in the lobby that show world times. Well that is if the batteries are replaced!!

Very very poor breakfast: not clean, old milk, not cleaned coffee machine, old and hard bread, durty sticky floor. I really had to search after something to eat which was not over date. Not a pleasant start of the day. The people servicing are just not putting any kind of energy in this. Poor situation Rooms: old but ok.

Stayed here for one night, reached there by 22:30, where a gentleman was happy to welcome. Explained everything and helped me all through the way to my room. His services as member of the staff were excellent. Rooms were average, to be frank, understandably because it is slight budget hotel. Floors were wooden, and not carpeted, so at times it used to be extra noisy when walking on the floor. Parking was not an issue, free parking was available within the premises of the hotel. Breakfast was buffet with plenty of options. Overall i can mark this stay as above average/satisfactory.

Be very careful when using the Ibis Dijon Sud. We stayed for one night on the 30 September and paid in full on our departure the next morning. Seventeen days later the hotel deducted an additional 68 euros from my credit card. Despite numerous requests for an explanation the hotel management have provided none. I continue my efforts to reclaim the unauthorised debit.

We visited on our way to the French Alps. We were welcomed warmly and our booking was confirmed. Our room, on the second floor, was clean, recently refurbished and quiet. The furnishing was typically French minimalist! The bed was comfortable and the airconditioning was quiet. The en suite bathroom was clean and the shower powerful. We ate in the hotel restaurant which had a reasonably priced menu with many suitable choices. The food was served quickly and pleasantly and was very tasty. And the staff were very hepful. The only reason we do not give a score of 5/5 was the smell of drains adjacent to the lift on the ground floor. We will stay again when we travel through France.

I stayed in the Ibis Dijon Sud this week; the main entrance to the hotel is lovely and has had a refurbishment recently. However, the rooms are outdated and need some work. The bedroom was basic as expected for an Ibis; however, the bathroom curtain was filthy, and the restaurant menu was not specific about allergens in the food. Overall good food, but you might swell stay in an Ibis budget due to the poor cleanliness of the facilities.

We booked this hotel for a 1 night stopover. The rooms were clean but very dated. Look nothing like on the website and wouldn’t have booked if I had known. Don’t be fooled. There was also confusion at check in with our booking. The hotel didn’t seem to have the correct details compared to our booking confirmation. Local area isn’t great but wasn’t an issue for a stop over. Good size carpark.

We stayed here before, during the renovations, and we were very impressed by the result! A warm welcome, a good-sized room and plenty of parking spaces. The lobby is bright and airy, and doubles as a pleasant bar. Our room was spotlessly clean and quiet, so we slept well. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal very much. We didn’t have breakfast next morning but could see that there was a good choice. We will certainly return.
