We usually book Ibis hotels when staying in cities or along our route to our destinations. So, we have seen our share of Ibis hotels and up until today they have been great. But a ‘winning’ streak has come to an end. This was by far the worst hotel (of Ibis) we ever stayed in. First of all the stench outside the hotel. Unfortunately that stench can also be smelled in the hotel. Not in the room though. The room itself looks great and we slept well on the beds. But next morning we noticed that the bathroom was far from clean. As we arrived late and tired the night before, we hadn’t noticed it. Breakfast. Well, hardly any choice, but seen the price we pay that was to be expected. The thing that made us realise we had to leave asap was the fact that everything was filthy. The cutlery and glasses weren’t washed properly. The orange juice was lukewarm, but worst of all was the coffee machine was. It was disgusting. That thing hasn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. When paying our bill we wanted to make some comments, but the young lady behind the desk was more interested in filling out some forms than talking to us. She didn’t even make the effort of standing up and looking at us. Total ignorance at its best. So in conclusion: ignore this hotel. There are plenty other (most likely) better Accor hotels in the neighbourhood. Yes they will be more expensive, but be aware that this isn’t an Ibis Budget hotel and even then, this hotel isn’t even close to the standard of those Budget hotels. And just to emphasise the blatant disinterest in the hotel. There are clocks hanging in the lobby that show world times. Well that is if the batteries are replaced!!
