We booked this hotel months ago arrived at larnaca airport on 14th oct. jet2 rep greeted us and said are booking had been changed as there was a problem with the room At herbal hotel jet2 was amazing and we was placed at aqua blue hotel. we meet others who had been moved out of the At herbal. And new guests where arriving at same time I did hear that the hotel was supporting people escaping the war.

Absolutely dreadful. My wife and I booked this hotel months ago for our first family holiday with our now 9 month old daighter. We turned up at the hotel after a long day of travelling, got to reception and was instantly and rudely ‘you can’t stay here’… while others were checking in. As you can imagine this isn’t ideal with an 9 month old. Apparently there was a sewage problem, but in reality the hotel overbooked for an event. We were then sent away to two other hotels, the first of which was adults only so they understandably couldn’t take us. We spoke to another couple who were actually moved out of the hotel while they were staying there… to make room for other people as part of the event. If you want somewhere decent to stay in Protaras, do not come here.

We arrived after having booked months ago. Told there was a sewage problem but interestingly other guests were happily booking in. They looked like part of a large booking so suspect we just got cancelled to accommodate a private party. This correlates with another reviewer 6 days ago which is when we arrived. Thanks to booking with Jet2 they moved us to another hotel but we had chosen this hotel to be close to others as we are here for a wedding. We were a bit further out of town but the hotel was fabulous. Leonardo Crystal Cove. I’d book that instead if you are reading this review! At least you won’t get bumped for higher paying customers.

We had a great stay. The hotel is pretty clean, finished to a high spec and offers good value for money. The food and drinks were tasty but they could have been more varied. The beach is only 5 minutes away, and there are restaurants within a 15 minute walk. The staff were very good and the rooms are nice. If you're wondering what the catch is, the pool doesn't get any sun for most of the afternoon. This was fine for us in October as it was still 30°.

We booked this hotel via the last minute site! several months ago. This was to be our honeymoon. The trip was confirmed and paid for. I got slightly nervous after reading several reviews that said that the hotel cancelled at very short notice. I emailed the hotel twice - no answer - a friend attempted do book a surprise room gift - they would not accept this or take her calls - so the alarm bells rang more loudly! I contacted the last moment website! who said that I had nothing to worry about - the booking was confirmed and the money duly taken by the hotel. Fast forward to our WEDDING DAY! We get the dreaded cancellation email and are bumped down to an inferior hotel which is quite a distance from where we wanted to be. However at least we had a honeymoon. I believe this hotel knew several weeks before the trip that they would cancel our booking / if you notice they don't respond to any reviews - good or bad- red flag of not just poor customer service but of highly arrogant management. Edit - we have been told that the hotel was closed for a private booking - so we are probobly not the only ones this has happened to - so book with trepidation - if they get a better offer - they will cancel - they won't care - they won't respond!
