L'Orangerie du Château des Reynats

Very friendly staff, upon arrival we reported a problem with the shower, after day 2 we had a plumber, the problem was not solved and the solution was given at the reception: you can take a shower in the spa, we did not think this was ok, but after insisting we were given another room. We stayed in the Orangerie. . We also had little sleep for 2 nights due to noise from the pipes due to a problem with the water pressure not being OK and then during the days there was noise under the window from the Spaniards who had had a beer and were shouting under the window, so do not take a room at the front of the Orangerie and at the back where we first stayed there are renovation works going on and you can see on a scaffolding, everything in the chateau is also outdated, we heard from other guests and there is no air conditioning anywhere in the buildings. During our stay there were buses with Spaniards who were also staying there, so we had to find something to eat every day for breakfast during the first week, as everything was almost gone after their departure and the breakfast buffet was not replenished for other guests, after After reporting this to reception, it was slightly better on the following days. Furthermore, there is nowhere to have a nice drink after dinner, not even nearby, this hotel is not worth the money and is very outdated and in urgent need of renovation and is also not well located if you stay in one place for excursions, if you have to travel further than 75 km towards Sarlat and Bergerac, it will take you 1 hour and 45 minutes. You'll be done with the area surrounding the hotel in just a few days. If you like luxury and good service, this is not the place for you. The hotel is not the most expensive but not worth the money, there is little variety in the food and with half board there is only 1 menu, if you want something different you can do so upon request.

very disappointed!!! horrible bedding, carpet on the floor, it's no longer the 70s…. and in this case we do not accept dogs… aging room a very big refresh would be the minimum…. It's clearly not worth a 3 star. we were planning to go to the spa and booked massages as well as having breakfast but given the quality of the hotel we didn't want to see more...

Nous avons été déçus de cette découverte. Le cadre est très joli certes, mais tout est excessif. Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas là… On paye le cadre. Le personnel est agréable, mais tout est excessif. Une chambre où la nuit est à 100€, de la poussière sous le lit, un toilette sale, une literie petite et molle, pas de Clim, en été avec une journée plutôt chaude il faisait déjà lourd … Un petit déjeuner buffet à 15€ pour peu de choix, un spa neuf et très joli certes mais à 30€ par personne pour 2h c’est cher, aucune formule duo proposée, une piscine intérieure non chauffée aussi fraîche qu’à l’extérieur.. dommage. Pour avoir l’habitude de nous rendre dans des petits domaines aux alentours, celui-ci ne vaux malheureusement pas un 4 étoiles. Point positif : proche de Périgueux pour visiter la ville

Une bonne note sur la literie et la propreté.. Mais pour le reste c'est à revoir ... Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits à l'orangerie où à notre arrivée la télévision ne marchait pas..on nous a proposé une autre chambre mais moins bien que celle que nous avions que nous avons refusé...pas de climatisation dans la chambre et insonorisation très moyenne! Le Distributeur de boissons ne fonctionne pas.. La piscine était en travaux pour une fin mai... le terrain de tennis rempli de feuilles..Le dîner n'était pas vraiment à la hauteur du lieu mais en revanche le petit déjeuner rien à redire ! Par contre le personnel fut correct et serviable . Bref nous n'y reviendrons pas.
