This place is the best. Service and food over the top. Did the full spa package with the mud and also went out and rented ATV's to see the locals. Found out about the place from a friend who happens to be a Billionaire and he mentioned that this was his favorite place in the world that he has stayed at. I now get why. Leave the kids at home on this one ! Also leave some room on your Amex. You'll need it.

Incredible stay to cap off our Costa Rica trip. Couldn't recommend Hacienda Altagracia highly enough, it truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The location, the staff, the activities, the food -- it's all exceptional. Every little detail was thought of, and the staff went over and above. Thanks so much!

We had an exceptional time. The service is down-to-earth and excellent. They attend to your every need. Our concierge Fabion was great. We also loved Mel and Julio at the coffee bar. The views are incredible. We did not pay for activities, but had plenty to do and completely relaxed. The room was large and luxurious. We are foodies and really enjoy the food. It was very innovative. We will definitely return.

Outstanding service! Just the right amount of attention, not overbearing (take note Jade Mountain). Interesting location in that it's not near the beach or rainforest. But they do a great job with what they have. Great hikes to waterfalls, horses, excellent dining and a wonderful spa. Best of all you fly in. Everywhere else we looked would have taken hours by car from airport. Highly recommend.

Truly an exceptional experience — everything from the spa, horseback riding, and yoga lessons to the breathtaking surroundings made every moment unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, showing incredible attention to quality. This is by far the best resort/hotel in the world that I’ve ever stayed at. Many thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

Hits the mark on all you’d expect from a truly world class luxury resort: —impeccable, expansive property in breathtaking and lush tropical hills -scenic and wide ranging hiking trails and other adventures — all safe, fun and perfectly maintained -incredible, diverse, healthy and natural dining -gorgeous, immaculately maintained Casitas / Suites and grounds -best and most beautiful spa and wellness center we have ever seen And then there is the incredibly warm, genuine, instantly-responsive service from a team that clearly genuinely cares deeply about each guest’s perfect experience, and takes great pride in the resort, in the whole team, in the Costa Rican community in which the resort is located, and the country and people of Costa Rica. Their happiness and genuine humanity shine through at every interaction. GM Koen Wasschelein and his team have done an exemplary job truly making Hacienda Alta Gracia the best, most gratifying, and most relaxing and fulfilling family vacation we have had — or could imagine. Fantastic opportunity to unwind and relax. Everyone on staff is exceptionally and authentically friendly. They are dedicated to you having a positive experience. Be sure to make use of the Spa and workout areas. They are beautiful and clean. The food is delicious, as well. Lastly, make use of the excursions. Our mornings at the Trapiche Nery and Marvin's Cocoa Farm were very memorable for us.
