Out of this world charming- probably a quintessential hacienda experience. An outstanding staff- friendly, helpful, always available; beautiful setting of greenery and pool; wonderful classic Colombian decorated bedrooms; reasonably priced and terrific food; birds and color; peaceful! Hotel arranged airport pickup/return as well as personalized car/driver tours. You will have to wait for Heaven to improve on this place. Visiting a coffee plantation is de rigeur in this area- just go. However the highly touted towns of Salento and Filandia are overwhelmed by tourism with degradation to the lowest common denominator. Forewarned.

The boutique hotel is beautiful and the room is clean. The dining area is semi outdoor. the staff is very friendly. There is a table by the tree with lots birds. I didn't know it was reserved and accidently sat there. their staff politely reminded me it was reserved and I told them I love the table. In the next morning when I walk there, I saw the reserve sign and they told it is reserved for us. The food is good and well presented. Their SPA service is very good, better than some of the big spa names in US.

This is a very beautiful Hotel set in a nice garden. The bungalow was very comfortable with plenty of space. the breakfast was very good and the dining area was very pleasant. I loved Ernesto' exhibition of fruits and the outside fireplace at night. The staff was welcoming and organised for us excellent tours to Cocora valley and coffee farm.

This is a review for Sazagua Cocora. After traveling with 2 sick teens, we found refuge in @sazaguacocorahotelboutique in Colombia’s UNESCO coffee region near Salento. It’s an eco resort run by Juan Pablo Vásquez Restrepo with beautifully decorated rooms and Michelin level food. Juan Pablo is a trained chef and really delivers on flavor. The food was so good that our teens refused to eat elsewhere. Their experiences ranging from tasting at a coffee farm, exotic fruit tasting to a trek among palms in Cocora Valley. Most of all, Juan Pablo makes you feel like you are visiting a friend. We stayed in a suite with our teen kids. It’s the real Encanto!

Sensational Sazagua What an idyllic place! If you’re planning to visit the coffee district this small hotel is 15 minutes from Pereira airport and is paradise. Set in beautiful grounds the rooms are colonial/ Balinese style with all amenities. Luxury lotions and potions in the shower and as much as you need!Towels are pure white, soft and also plentiful. We had Room 12 with its own garden , jacuzzi and fire pit to sit by and relax. Although the hotel is positioned down a country lane , away from the hustle and bustle of the town, this encourages you to simply RELAX! The food is delicious too! I could go into details but believe me - it’s just Fantastic! Just look at the menu online and you’ll see the variety on offer. A definite MUST to stay at if you’re in this area!

This stylish hotel served as a basis for our exploration of the Eje Cafetero, being a half-way point for the places that interested us. Although it is located in a Pereira suburb, it feels as if you are in the countryside. The landscaping of the gardens is exquisite, the hotel’s biggest asset. Having breakfast overlooking the mature tropical planting and listening to the birds was an incredibly calming way to start the day. There is a good-sized swimming pool in a more private part of the garden that was a joy to swim in. The staff put me off saying it would be cold in July as it was not heated, but I am glad I ignored them because the water temperature was perfect (and I am not one for swimming in cold water). We also enjoyed the private patio of our spacious suite and it was wonderful using the elegant hot tub surrounded by tropical shrubs. Dinner at the restaurant was probably the best we had in Colombia, congratulations to the chef. The wine selection was also great, and the coffee deserves special mention as, of the five different hotels we stayed in Colombia, this was the only that felt as if they were making an effort to honor the country’s coffee tradition. Customer service was a mixed bag: from indifferent and slightly infuriating to absolutely charming. I am talking about the same people here! I would say they are all really lovely people who need to be more aware of time. I suspect that most clientele are Colombians who come here for a relaxing couple of days and don’t mind if they have to wait 20 minutes to check in. We on the other hand were spending in the hotel precious time in-between visits to coffee plantations, local sites and walking in the Cocora Valley. Having to chase the waiters or the person at the front desk to check in or book a massage felt a bit tiresome - but when you managed to pin them down, they were helpful, smiley and graceful. The most disappointing thing about this hotel however is the noise insulation. It felt as if the ceiling of our suite was separated from that of next door by cardboard: we could hear absolutely everything and am in no doubt they did too. Overall, I would probably stay here again.

5 stars from start to finish. The staff is super personable and attentive. The room spacious and the bed a dream to sleep in. The grounds surrounding the rooms and dining area are lush with tropical vegetation and birds chirping. Everything is expertly maintained. The spa treatments - very good - although the ambience of the spa itself could use some improvement . The food - wow! Amazing typical dishes prepared with expertise. So glad we got the full room and board package as we wouldn’t have wanted to eat anywhere else. This is one place I would love to visit again.

Such a delightful place to stay in Pereira. Our room was beautiful and clean. We even had an outdoor terrace. The service was top notch and extremely accommodating. No regrets whatsoever. Choose this place for a memorable stay.
