Ray Hotel Corfu

We had a lovely stay at the Ray Hotel in Corfu. The room was clean and comfortable, and our cleaner went above and beyond—folding our clothes each morning, which was a really thoughtful touch. The pool was nice (a little shallow and cool), with a peaceful, adults-only vibe overall. The pool bar had a good selection, though we found it quite expensive. For better value, we often went to the restaurant just across the road, where you can get a delicious pork or chicken gyros for only €4. Breakfast at the hotel was great, with a wide range of sweet and savoury options. Dinner wasn’t always to my taste, but the selection was decent enough for what you pay. In hindsight, I’d probably just go for the breakfast-only option. There was some low-key entertainment on a few nights during dinner. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. The hotel is fairly isolated, but there’s a handy supermarket just outside, and the bus stop is close by. It’s about 20 minutes to Corfu Town and 10 minutes to Benitses, a charming fishing village with lots of beachside restaurants. The beach behind the hotel is down a few flights of stairs—lovely and quiet in the morning, though probably not ideal for those with mobility issues. There’s also a small gym with basic cardio and weights equipment, though I didn’t use it myself. A real highlight was watching the planes come in low to the nearby airport—surprisingly fun and never got old! All in all, the hotel offers excellent value for money. While I don’t think I’d return myself, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

My partner and I stayed at the Ray Hotel from 14th may-21st may. We chose this hotel as it was a 7 minute taxi ride to the Ekaterini Estate where our friends were getting married. I had read mixed reviews on the hotel but below is our personal opinion. Firstly, we could not have been happier with the hotel and we have already commented that we plan to return. Room. We booked a sea view room for our stay, we were allocated room 203 and wow, the sea view was perfect and simply stunning - see the pictures. The bathroom was a good size for the two of us, very modern, the bed was comfortable. There was a mini sofa in the bedroom and a balcony with two chairs and a table. There were two large wardrobes, a safe box and mini fridge. We always had the sun on the balcony in the mornings which is perfect if you did not want to leave the room too early but still wanted to enjoy the sunshine. Rooms cleaned daily if you wanted them to be. Pool/Beach area Again pictures attached of the pool and the small beach area. The pool was great however initially very cold when getting in but that’s a bonus when the weather is really warm and you want to cool down. Plenty of sun beds and seating area available! Towels are available from the pool bar for all sun beds. Music plays throughout the day, we found this to be nice and chilled, wasn’t too loud. The small beach area was lovely however I would say this isn’t disability friendly as you do have to go down a lot of steps to get to the decking where the sea is. We only went down there for a morning whilst staying there so we did not go in the sea however someone did tell us it’s slightly warmer than the pool when initially getting in. Food. With our stay we picked the bed and breakfast option and it was perfect. There is a selection of hot foods like toast, eggs, omelette, beans etc and then there is a selection for pastries, cakes and cereals. There was a selection for fresh fruit and yogurts, they also do the most amazing overnight oats - my partner loved these. We cannot comment regarding the lunch/dinner options as we did not eat in the evenings at the restaurant however if we did want to it was €30 euros each to do this. SNACK BAR - we simply loved this and would choose to have our evening meals at the snack bar when eating at the hotel. The selection on the menu is fantastic, plenty of choices from pastas, salads, pizzas, burgers etc - I have included some pictures of the meals we had - great value for money and tasted amazing. Staff. From reception, house keeping, restaurant staff, pool bar staff and maintenance staff - everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We did not come across one rude person (including the guests) whilst staying there. Each morning we would go to reception if we needed to book a taxi for the day, they would take the time and where too and our room number and then organise this for us. Where to start...well from the first day of check in of course... From them moment we checked in we was greeted by a lovely receptionist I wish I knew her name as I would be able to thank her by name ..she was working the night shift ..very polite friendly and happy . She was helpful amd told us about the times of breakfast and afternoon dinner and where to go . Our room was on the 3rd floor sea facing.. the room was so clean and fresh and the bed was so comfy and the pillows was so amazingly comfy.. The views was stunning looking out on to the sea and mouse island. The restaurant was so inviting and clean .. the staff was so friendly especially eliana in the morning and the lovely staff in the evening . So much choice every day regarding the food .. The housekeeping team was so nice and happy and amazing in there work . I turned 50 while I was there and I was gifted a bottle of wine and a fruit platter left in my room when I went back to it and a card . I was so took back but so happy . Everything was just so amazing. I would definitely 100% go back . Thank you the ray hotel .

We visited in October.. We have visited Corfu twice before but never so late in the year. The temperature was around 23/25 so made it very easy to sit in the sun without being uncomfortable. The hotel was around 20 minutes from the airport and we felt very expensive at 40 Euros . The Ray hotel is quite new and very modern. It was lovely clean and with very attentive and friendly staff. The hotel room was spacious and well equipped. It even had a small area with a coffee machine, sink and fridge. The shower was fabulous. The only thing that could improve the room would be to have a mirror in the room, as there was only one in the bathroom . The balcony was also very spacious and over looked the pool area. The pool area was lovely with amazing sun beds and the hotel bar served delicious cocktails. There was also a decked area towards the back of the hotel over looking the sea. We paid for half board and there was plenty of choice for both meals with a lovely view of the sea from your table. The area was a little quiet for us and only had one taverna close by. This was the Tylixto this was a lovely bustling taverna serving great food and wine . A Greek salad was approximately 6 euros and half a carafe of wine 7 euros. We caught the bus into Corfu town a couple of evenings which was 5 euros return .This took approximately 40 minutes. Corfu town is beautiful, full of history and lots of lovely cafe, bars and shops. We would recommend eating at the AEGLI and the GONDOLA restaurants in Corfu town. We would definitely visit again but would hire a car.

Just came back from our vacation.Even though i didn't rate 5 stars, we did enjoy our vacation,mostly because of people who made this place so pleasant.The things,actually i didn't like are the location and the beach.the room are very clean,the pool area beautifull,Nice restaurant with an amazing view,excelent food and nice,smiling,warm people. I would mention Eleana and Spridoula, also the nice lady from the reception(i forgot to ask for the name)who help us with everithing we need,advice us for things to see or do on the island.We felt welcomed and pampered and for this we thank them.

We had the best time here. Booked the hotel as we wanted to use as a base to go explore and also get the ferry to Albania, so it's location was perfect to get the bus to the port. I would recommend the ferry to Albania if you have time on your trip, we booked a night in Ksamil and got the bus from there once we got off the ferry, the beaches were beautiful there and the hotels are really cheap for a 1 night stay. The bus stop is right outside the hotel so on an evening we would recommend going to Corfu Town or Benitises. Picante Mexican Restaurant in Benitises was amazing! Buses were fab, there a qr code to scan at the bus stop and it will tell you how far away they are and they run until late. The Gyros at the taverna across the road from the hotel were also fab at just under 5 euros! They also do takeaway if you'd prefer to bring back to your room and sit on your balcony. The hotel itself was fab, everywhere was spotless, plenty of sunbeds, chilled music during the day by the pool. You can paddleboard for free as much as you want here which we absolutely loved! We booked a sea room view which I would 100% recommend as the view is out of this world and is on the flight path. Breakfast was the best breakfast buffet we have ever had at a hotel. I did get bitten alive so I would ensure you have your bug deterent sprays won't you and bite cream. Thanks for a fab holiday!
