The staff were beyond rude and awful. We tried checking in a few times, but were unable to check in “early” which was fine (even though family after family checked in before and after us). Then check in time came and they said they needed more time. After 20-25 minutes I go back and they give me a key and say “hopefully a couple more minutes it’ll be ready”. At this point we are so thrown off and to top it off, they don’t even tell us where the room is. I’m trying to explain this to the female when the male comes out from behind the counter, gets in my face and tells me if I don’t like it we can leave, and tries shooing me out the door. I’m in disbelief so I take the time to secure another hotel (best decision out of all this so far!) and go back to confirm he said they wouldn’t charge me etc and give the key back. I told him I wanted proof of refund and I already gave the key back and he starts yelling at me that they don’t have keys, it’s all codes; even though I was handed a physical key and the female had it in her hand. After they called me a ***** and dragged their feet I was finally able to get a receipt confirmation to be on my way. They were so rude, disrespectful, attempted to be intimidating and the place was grungy at best, and aside from a decent location it’s not worth the hassle. We booked at a hotel a block away that included a breakfast, way better staff, pool et all and saved $300 in doing so!!
