MMinStaying at this traditional Korean thatched-roof house (chogajip) in Jeonju was such a special and unforgettable experience!
I booked this place for my friend visiting from the U.S. to give her a unique taste of Korean culture—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was great, the room was clean and cozy, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful :)
After booking, I recommend contacting the host in advance to let them know your estimated arrival time—it really helps with check-in. For international guests, it may be a bit difficult to communicate, so having someone help with the message is a good idea!
If you’re visiting Korea, don’t miss the chance to stay in a beautiful chogajip and experience a piece of traditional life. Highly recommended! ❤️

GGerardus Maria GemmaOur stay at Geuligobom Dokchae Pension was truly exceptional. This self-catered traditional hanok house offers an authentic experience of living in the heart of a hanok village. Located on a quiet street, it provides a peaceful retreat, yet just around the corner, you're immersed in all the tourist highlights of old Jeonju.
The nearby restaurants are delightful, adding to the charm of the location. The house itself is spacious and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable self-catered stay. The bathroom, complete with a jacuzzi, is a wonderful touch. We highly recommend Geuligobom Dokchae Pension for anyone seeking a genuine and relaxing stay in Jeonju.

GGuest UserEasy check in as owner is next door operating hanbok rental. Room is comfortable though got some spider web on the ceiling. Breakfast is toast bread, banana and persimmon. Washing machine is broken so unable to wash cloth.

SSeungminIt was a pity that I came late at night, but the room was really warm. The interior facilities / things were a lot aging, but I interpreted it as a taste of staying in an old house. I thought it didn't include breakfast, but they made it so delicious, such as perilla rice cake soup and porridge.

쩌쩌엉미I booked a place for a special dinner while traveling and business trip with two foreign friends at the same time. I was amazed at the beauty of traditional Korean hanok and was amazed at the warm ondol again.
The parking facilities are convenient and close to Hanok Village, so the trip was easy to finish.

GGuest Userlocation right in the middle of hanok village. no where is more convenient than here. but you may not have so much privacy as the rooms are right next to each other (need to speak very softly) and right outside your door is the common passage for every visitor at hanok village (yes you are right in the middle of it). however, right out your door are the cafes, shops etc. there isnt any facilities to use just a room and toilet. i booked the wrong room it was 10m2 and i find it super small; fortunately the location makes the stay much better for me. very friendly host though. take note there is no laundry, you need to travel out. we drove so it wasnt too bad for us. about 10-15 mins drive with no traffic jam.

ZZebragirlCheck in was very easy. Location was great. At first glance the room seemed very clean, but there were two cockroaches found in the room and the pillows had a very bad smell. Other than the cleanliness, I would highly recommend.

GGuest UserThe accommodation has a good location and offers a nice experience of staying in a traditional Hanok. However, communication with the staff was a bit challenging at first, as nobody was present on-site and the provided phone number did not work.
Once the staff arrived, they were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple but clean and perfectly adequate.
For those looking for an authentic and modest place to stay in a good location, we can definitely recommend this accommodation.
