What a terrific hotel, the location is excellent for the Lake District and is a few minutes from the M6. I have been coming here for years now and it just keeps on getting better. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with all you need and the food is amazing along with excellent customer service from all the staff. But most of all the owners; Wayne and Paula are the nicest people I have ever met. Wishing all at Edenhall a very Happy New Year. See you soon !

Only visited a few nights for evening meals. Lots of choice, nice atmosphere in the dining room and restaurant areas. Staff excellent, food first class ! Stayed locally cannot fault this in any way. Will definitely visit again. Thank you made a raining weekend enjoyable.

What a lovely hotel ,food was excellent along with service ,lovely atmosphere whole heartedly recommend a visit .the owners made you feel very welcome and homely ,locals in the bar very friendly ,they cater for functions etc thank you so much for a welcoming and relaxing visit

We booked to come here for our Christmas Day lunch. My Dad paid in full for 5 of us. Sadly my Dad passed away on Dec8th. We informed the hotel asap so that they could resell the table. They refuse to give us any of the £400plus money back.

The hotel feels and looks very dated, however was generally clean enough. My room was very basic, but functional and I slept well. However, the title makes you believe this hotel will be grander than it is. The kettle in my room was beyond disgusting and it wasn’t just discolouration, but looked like years of deep-seated grime from lots of grubby hands… so I didn’t bother making a morning drink and headed straight out without going for breakfast either. The staff were friendly, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again sadly.

Well run, clean, comfortable small hotel with good food - would definitely revisit. Helpful staff, comfortable accommodation with friendly atmosphere. Had not heard ofvthis hotel before but well worth a visit.

The owner greeted us at the door and was very helpful throughout our stay. They even got an ice pack for my son who had injured his knee on his Lake District challenge. The bedroom was clean we all had a good nights sleep, great shower in the clean bathroom is just what we all needed. All the staff were friendly and the beer in the bar was good too. The hotel is set in love lovely village and we enjoyed sitting out in the garden too. We didn’t eat there but probably should have as other visitors had enjoyed their meals. Ideal location for the northern lakes.
