The setting is the hotel's main strength, views of the sea, apple orchards, gardens and the hotel itself. The lawns are manicured by a team of little robot mowers and we were blessed with perfect views over the channel. I'll start with the good, this hotel has nicely appointed rooms, a lovely spa and pool complex with sauna etc. The restaurant food is good and the buffet breakfast had a lot of options with good quality pastry and home grown honey. Check in was great, the staff member was helpful and when I asked for a room change as the room only had a bath and I prefer a shower he did his best to accommodate this by moving us the following night. The only issue was he didn't run through some of the hotel's many hard and fast rules of which some were mentioned on the very lenghty booking email but with all the holiday planning, I had forgotten some of the protocols. This led to our first telling off, after going for a swim we went to the sauna only to be asked to leave as we didn't have a booking. There was no one else in there at the time and we asked if we could book one of our 1 hour per day slots but we had to go to the front desk in the hotel to do so rather than the actual spa desk which meant walking across the courtyard. I understand why you have timings and rules but the way staff members managed honest mistakes was typically rude, and needless. We then got told off the next day for arriving at breakfast at 9.50 when it closed at 10am. Again, we weren't given the timings but it appears they only serve breakfast 8-10 which feels a little short when you are paying for a relaxing experience and it's just a buffet. Again I don't mind obeying by the rules but the staff member was just angry at us rather than politely informing you how to avoid. She did this several times during our stay to the point where you just didn't feel welcome. By in large all the desk staff were great and helpful but it was hit and miss with restaurant staff with at least half the the staff we dealt with being grumpy, unhelpful and rude. The restaurant offers a very limited lunch and dinner menu which is very expensive with some options like the vegetarian dinner menu being comically poor value for money. The gazpacho soups were a hilight along with the cheese board which were excellent but again very expensive. If it weren't for the view I wouldn't have chosen to eat there and if I'd gone there for a special event if have left dissapointed. The other main issue is that the hotel doesn't have ac in the rooms and when we visited in a heatwave this was a bit of an issue. They provide a fan but it does little to help and we struggled to sleep as the room we had in what looks like a coach house conversion is in the sun most of the day and has no shade so the heat was difficult. For a hotel of this price, being able to sleep comfortably is a minimum expectation so I can only imagine they weren't able to install them due to the history of the building. Ultimately

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, spacious rooms in this well equipped stylish renovated hotel on a beautiful location. The hotel has a nice pool and ok wellness area. The restaurant offers an interesting cuisine with original tasty dishes. Only the breakfast is overpriced comparing to the quality. We also don’t understand why the staff let noisy children running up and down the restaurant area while others try to enjoy a quiet breakfast.

Amazing place. Probably one of the nicest hotel rooms I ever had .. spacious, tastefully decorated and insulated ..and a view on nature and sea .. delicious ! Very kind staff. Excellent breakfast with vast choices .. the history has cute simple menus choices .. deliciously prepared .. good wine card .. we didn’t try the gastronomic restaurant though. Would have loved to try the spa but we eventually didn’t as one needs to buy slippers (if one doesn’t have its own) to use it .. not because of the money but principle I refused A part of this imperfection it is an amazing unique gem place

This hotel is beautiful and looks like something out of a fairytale. The rooms are lovely and there is a wheelchair accesible option. The staff are friendly and helpful. Americans who are used to air conditioning in the summer will want to take note that there is no AC; however, it does get cooler at night and you can open the windows (they also provide a fan). The restaurant, Le Capucine, is fantastic and well worth a visit!

We had (unfortunately only) two great days at this beautiful hotel, calm, relexed, "spoiled" and in every respect just all we had hoped for. Well situated in the country side, but close to Honfleur and the beach areas. Great breakfast and very nice restaurant. So nice atmosphere and friendly staff - a home away from home.

—> The restaurant is very exclusive, as in not available We had booked this hotel because it had a restaurant. We were here for 4 nights but the restaurant was closed for 2 nights, the third night it was fully booked (because there was not enough staff) and on the fourth night there was a BBQ for 75 Euro pp. So we could not access the restaurant and had to look for alternatives. There is not much spontaneous help from the people at the reception. When we asked for an alternative we got one (1) recommendation for a beach bar, but it was closed as well. Finding a restaurant in Honfleur is a challenge. But we have found several good ones that can be an alternative: L’Envie, L’Endroit, L’escale, and L’ecailleur. There is a bar where you can have some bites, but that does not replace a full meal. —> The pool The swimming pool is great but there are not enough chairs so you need to hurry to occupy seats in the morning, which is not very peaceful. The chairs are very heavy lounge chairs with pillows. We doubt the hygiene as people are lying directly on them, even with their feet on the head pillows. We had to clean the crisps that were still on the chairs when we arrived. The drinks at the cocktail bar near the pool are of various quality and quantity. 16 Euro for a small Mojito in a small plastic cup is for sure exaggerated. 8 Euro for a Coke as well. The personnel at the pool bar is very helpful. When the sunscreens were blown away they came to the rescue. —> The breakfast The breakfast is abundant. You can enjoy it on the terrace. —> Not for children The hotel is not suited for small children. There is nothing to do for them. I would recommend the hotel to either invest in a children’s corner / swimming pool or adopt an adults only policy. The sounds of playing children is not a problem, but crying babies can be annoying. If you want to find some quiet, you should go to the garden, where you can find few chairs. —> The rooms The rooms are spacious and provide the necessary comfort. There is however no airconditioning. On a hot day the heat was overwhelming. The staff was kind enough to provide a cooling fan. —> Conclusion A beautiful place that needs to step up its service model The hotel is in a beautiful place, in a beautiful garden. It is beautifully decorated and it has everything to be the luxury place the price would suggest it to be. If only they could make sure their guests can eat at the restaurant and can enjoy the facilities. Hotel management should never forget that for 400 Euros per night, one could expect a full service, not one that is convenient for the hotel.

We enjoyed a 3 day stay at Les Jardins De Coppelia and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was immaculate, the service was 5 star and the dinner was outstanding. The setting is both romantic and relaxing. It is close to town but felt very secluded. We hope to return soon!

We have already stayed at the Coppélia gardens for several days, and each time, we always come back with pleasure. The place is magnificent, very well maintained, the proximity to the bottom of the Apreval cider factory is obviously an asset, as well as the proximity to the small Pennedepie beach. The staff is very friendly, kind, considerate, very responsive. breakfast is always very generous. Dinners at the Petit Yard are always pleasant, warm, in a setting that gives the impression of being at home. We have tested rooms of very different sizes, but whatever the size, they are always very well decorated, clean, with very comfortable bedding. We also appreciate the little touches when we come with a pet, who is entitled to bowls and beds in the room provided by the hotel. In short, a charming address to remember, and we will return with great pleasure as soon as possible.

Beautiful, quiet residence near Deauville No elevator or air conditioning Comfortable room: no bathrobe decoration but no slippers Lots of mosquitoes at night and bites guaranteed. Breakfast for 28 euros: local products, bad scrambled eggs, glue if you want a fried or boiled egg you have to add 5 euros! It’s commercial and costs 33 euros! By analyzing everything is calculated: no shower cap, cotton swab or makeup remover pad... in a 4 star this is sincerely lacking. Conclusion: mixed and after reporting at the start (we hear!!) There are a lot better in the surrounding area
