I didn't want to go to the crowded scenic spot to escape the heat, and finally chose Mowei Mountain, which was unexpectedly good. Mowei Mountain is more than 4 hours away from the main city and is relatively quiet. It’s really cool here. I have to wear a coat and change trousers at around 8pm, otherwise it’s cold. Think about 40 degrees Celsius in Chongqing these days~ You can camp here, there are wooden houses and villas, we take the children to choose the hotel, which is better than I imagined. The old hotels in Zhongshan have better supporting facilities, but the service is a bit poor. Sometimes I forget to put toothbrushes, sometimes I forget to put bath towels, but they will be delivered after a while. There are Feiyunkou, Sky Cliffs and Leopards in the scenic area. Touya, Genting Temple, there are also small trains (10 yuan round trip) that children like good. It’s just that the food is a bit monotonous. There is only one restaurant and one snack bar (roast chicken, roast lamb and some barbecue items). If I am not tired of eating, I would like to stay any longer~ I plan to see the snow in winter!

This hotel, which faces the main square in Pushuin, is ideally suited for an exploration of the area. Reception staff are helpful and friendly and we were able to communicate via Wechat and Deepl translation. The room exceeded expectations - it was spacious, clean and stylish with lovely cotton bedding and modern bath and shower. There was a kettle with tea and coffee and nice bath products. Breakfast was in a cafe just round the corner - a bowl of noodles with soya milk egg and rice soup or the option of fruit and pastries. Set me up for the day. Great value at £33 a night.
