BASK Gili meno

BASK...for the moment you walk in, it put a smile in your face. It was so good that we had to extend our stay. The villa, food, location & service were excellent. For what we could see, it was one of the best properties in Gili Meno. I woke up 5:30 am, get my gear and I was snorkelling at underwater statues just myself before the boats arrived 6:15 am. So convenience that I could snorkelling in front of my villa and guarantee see a sea turtle and the beautiful marine life. Treat yourselves with a in room massage, get into the pool later and appreciate a sunset with nice cocktails. Few steps from your villa, you head to a nice dinner experience. If you need anything, send them a WhatsApp message and before you blink, your request will be at your door step. The service was outstanding. Staff went above and beyond to meet our requirements. Fandi, Yakub, Will and forgive me if I forgot anyone. You were all fabulous. You want to leave this beautiful place conveniently, please book their boat back to Gili T. Hassle free. Our stay at Bask definitely exceeded all our expectations. The suites are both spacious and luxurious with a big private pool in the front. The staff is very friendly and will do anything to accommodate your wishes. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes from different kitchens - all taste just as impeccable. The island itself is dreamy and offers the perfect serene oasis for a relaxing holiday. Just in front of BASK is one of the most beautiful coral reefs we have ever seen, so certainly don’t forget your snorkeling equipment. Be advised to bring your water shoes as entering the sea with bare feet is nearly impossible due to lots of sharp stones and dead coral. If you want any recommendations just ask the hotel manager Manuel as he knows the island through and through.

Amazing!! The staff (Aziz), food and decor are exeptional. Would highly recommend visiting Bask, even if you’re just visiting for the day from a neighbouring island it is definitely worth a visit to try the food or chill around the pool area.

We visited for the afternoon/evening. Eclectic music set from the DJ-entertaining and enjoyable. Beautiful location, great decor and furniture. Frozen cocktails…delicious. Striploin steak for dinner…cooked to perfection (although too much fat/inedible bits). The service was poor-staff aren’t proactive enough and you sit there for what seems hours, before you can grab someone’s attention! We even had to use our own water to top up our drinks! No-one checked on how the meal was.

A truly wonderful place, stunning location and beautiful building. The food and drinks were exceptional, a little more expensive than other places on the island but worth it and good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful and every question was no problem. Room service to the villa was excellent and quick (we had a beachfront villa which was incredible). The hotel offers snorkels which we took out every day, there are a lot of boats that come into snorkel throughout the day but start thinning out around 3/4pm which was a great time to go out. We saw lots of fish and cool turtles. The hotel also offer bikes which we took out a couple of times which was great, they are a little creaky so might need an upgrade at some point! We ate most nights at the hotel but the local Sasak cafe have cheap cocktails and local food. We also ate in a new place called Beach Lux about 5 min walk away which was really good tandoori Indian food. In my opinion there were a few TINY things that would make this place knockout. The bathroom could be a little cleaner (there were some bugs and smells when we first arrived). Also some bottled water and glasses in the bathroom would have been nice (you shouldn’t drink the tap water in Lombok). Also some robes would be handy. Having said all that those things did not affect our trip in any way and we had a truly wonderful stay. We cannot wait to see what Bask do next and look forward to returning

We were so fortunate to discover Bask on our second of four days staying on Gili Meno. Unlike the two busier Gillis neighbouring Gili Meno, this is a quiet and very relaxed place to holiday and unwind. On seeing the amazing accommodation, beach facilities and then the beautiful lounge and pool area we knew that we had found our happy place for the remainder of our stay. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive. The drinks and dining menus are comprehensive and well priced. Being able to spend the day unhurried by the staff and to enjoy the beautiful pool is such a welcome treat during the warmer days. We came back in the evenings for dinner with the freshly caught fish being a favourite choice. Thank you to every e who made our visits to Bask so memorable and to Nengah in particular for his generosity of spirit and kindness to us. Bask alone is worth coming to Gili Meno!
