I booked a table for 2 , for Sunday lunch, and I explained I was in a wheel chair and could not walk. When we arrived we could not get into the hotel front entrance as there were steps, and were sent around to the side entrance.Once seated very near to the carvery distribution centre,a waitress came to take our drink order.I asked if there was any fish as a choice,no ,just 2 vegetarian options containing nuts.I am not a vegetarian nor am I a squirrel,I prefer fish.As there was a menu board on the wall advertising Sea Bass ,I was disappointed.I had a small meal on a blue plate as opposed to my husband who had a large meal on a white plate. The chef who was wearing a very dirty apron when cutting the meat, repeatedly told me I needed a blue plate, which I couldn't reach. As he was cutting the meat another person came through from the kitchen, scratching his rear end.Eventualy when we sat at the table, the food was cold and so unappetizing, cheap food sold expensively . We were regular customers up to a couple of years ago, but because of the attitude of the staff then who were very rude, as was the owner, we didn't return. We read on trip advisor some good reviews,so decided to try again. We will not return nor will we recommend.I applaud local people who want to support a local establishment and seem to enjoy the food.Cheap food, mostly frozen and cooked quickly. No thank you, when we go out for a meal ,we like well cooked food, clean areas, and staff that wear clean aprons and don't scratch their bottoms in front of customers. I worked for many years in the private catering industry,I wouldn't have lasted long if I had served food that bad.We didn't eat it,but paid the bill and left. The hotel need to cater more for disabled customers as to entry to the building, help from staff carrying food ,no one offered to help me.
