Well, they say that the journey is the reward. Getting there must be the fun part, if you can keep your teeth. Eighty percent is on paved roads. The final 20% starts on a dirt road that gets progressively smaller until the last couple of kilometers are a rough and tumble path. When you finally get there, the place is as described by others. Very friendly staff, incredible views, food preparation with an artistic flare. WiFi was generally good in rooms and lobby. Sometimes we had problems in the beach bar area. The service was exceptional and the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. For example, they surrounded our table the last night with flowers as we ate, looking out at the Indian Ocean sunset! It was breathtaking and memorable.

The service at this little gem was stellar - thanks to Veronicah who was extremely reactive and helped us with flight cancellations, transfer changes and other needs. The food is good, the staff friendly, and the rooms are roomy and clean. The dive shop is world class, we did a morning snorkel and trip to the sandbar, which should not be missed. All-around very pleasant stay.

Extremely disappointing and overpriced. The management is unprofessional and disorganized. Communication is poor, waiters barely understand English, the menu is tiny, and service is painfully slow. We booked a 3-hour sandbank tour, but were brought back after only 1 hour because of tides. On top of that, I was slapped with a surprise bill for “bed sheet stains” that I was never warned about, and when we asked for the receipt for the linen cleaning, they couldn’t provide it. To make matters worse, a simple 10-minute transfer was charged at $20 each way—an absurd rip-off. The room is barebones, the shower is a slow trickle, and the beach in front of the hotel is unusable for swimming due to rocks and seaweed. It’s just there to look at. The property is clearly neglected: peeling paint, missing lightbulbs, moldy beach chairs, and countless small issues they simply don’t care to fix. Wi-Fi is terrible and forces you to log in every 10 minutes. There are far better places for the price. This hotel is a rip-off and one of the worst value-for-money stays I’ve had anywhere. No wonder they were 20% capacity in the middle of August.

This low-key resort on the Indian Ocean is truly a dream. It is not super luxurious, but way beyond adequate. The setting is spectacular, but also tranquil. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Housekeeping was meticulous. The ocean front rooms are large with decks overlooking the sea. We dove with Afro divers every day, who were excellent. We had read reviews that the food was just so-so; however, we found it excellent and creative. It is a set menu. Maybe there was a new chef. The staff was A+. A special nod to the bartender at the beach and Veronicah at the front desk. I am not a regular drinker of alcohol, but the local cocktail “Dawa”was so delicious that I had one every night. Made from local gin.

As the name sounds, pemba paradise is the place to be.The hotel is very nuce and the people are very friendly. We could not leave after a week stay in this place. The ocean and the beach are very clean and well looked after sometimes high and low tides but this did not bother us.

Our honeymoon went well and the hotel is the best in Zanzibar. We stayed in a room facing the ocean,AC worked well and properly, proper cleaning everyday and also fresh towels. The ocean was warm and very hot throughout but sometimes tides affected our experience

Their staff are very hospitable creating a very nice atmosphere for relaxation and nice ambience. T he food was average though you can understand that the items have to come from Zanzibar. We enjoyed every bit of the holiday in Paradise of this nature. We recommend it to others
