Magpie the Chestnut Retreat

This property is very well located at a beautiful place where we can see the kanchenjunga hill. The service is very good. The staff is very courtious. The rooms are very neat and clean. Very cute cottages. A must place yo go. They have beautiful villas too.

Good property and location. Staff were friendly and food service was excellent. Package organised by highlander Tinku and Niraj were quite supportive! Overall it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were spacious with good view of the valley..

We loved the place. Tranquil surroundings, very beautiful cottages and picturesque location. Food is excellent. We liked the prompt service and personal touch of the staff. Maintenance of the room and bathroom was good. Special mention of their staff - Pramila and Dewakar. Office staff were also polite and helpful. Highly recommended..

Wonderful location, comfortable rooms with good amenities. Helpful staff, good buffet. They took good care about any specific menu ordered. They had added local cuisine too . Overall wonderful stay. I would recommend everyone to spend their vacation at this resort.

Great location and Stay at magpie chestnut for a night, the stay is located in midst of forest ,really enjoyed the view. The staff was very helpful in dinner and room services especially would like to give thanks for Mingma lepcha and Prashant limbu. Room was clean with the essentials.

Such a painful experience... we walked in after 11.5 hrs of journey but inspite of informing them the food preference on phone, no preparations have been done..room floors are so slippery that kids oftenly fell down.. food was the worst ( dal was more like lentil soup) service was pathetic took them more than 45 min just to serve a single portion of naan and staff was unprofessional and not at all supportive, especially the Sam & Vishnu who were rude beyond belief, on duty manager Urisha, was more interested in giving excuses than to try to solve any problem, they don't even have ice cubes , the lights in the room are not able to turn off without some finiky manuers, and their creative solution to that was to suggest to turn off the main switch ( leaving you without the ability to charge our devices and to go outside the room every time you need a litle light in night, like visiting the bathroom), without even bothering to check for issues, the wifi doesn't work beyond the reception & restaurant area, cats and other pests are rampant.

We had a wonderful stay at Magpie Chestnut. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Manager Mr Uddeshya and all staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location was perfect, close to many attractions. Food was delicious with many choices. We felt very welcomed and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. 🙂

Location is awesome, food best , staff very cooperative and very humble. Rooms are very clean, nit and pleasant.anybody going to pelling can blindly consider and book this resort.found all the amenities,more than my expectations. It was pleasure staying here.
