We already reserved a hotel room for one night at the above branch through the official website on the day of July 06, 2020 and arrived there on July 09, 2020 at around 9:30 a.m. to check in and at least drop off our luggage and find out about the to inform the city. However, the receptionist informed us that she could neither check us in nor accept our luggage, let alone use the toilet in front of the reception. According to her statement, we have to understand that all this is due to the limited opening hours, which however were not mentioned anywhere on the website and booking confirmation of the above hotel. She confirmed this missing information (as of 10:00 on the same day). We were therefore in vain on the way from Braunschweig's main train station to the hotel and had to lose time and travel costs unnecessarily. The receptionist mentioned also said that we had only reserved the room but not yet paid the fee and that the reservation was only valid from 2 p.m. Therefore, we would not yet be hotel guests and would not officially have permission to stay in the entrance area and check-in would also only be possible at 2 p.m. So we didn't get a city map - until we asked them for this - nor did we get any further, alternative information about our extremely helpless situation and information about where authentic restaurants in the city are located. We understand that the Corona pandemic will result in some changes in hotel operations; however, we would have wished, as a guest in the B&B hotel, to experience more understanding, courtesy and hospitality on our trip, as we already knew from another B&B branch in Göttingen, for example.

Parkhotel Berghölzchen is located in Hildesheim and from the terrace you have a view of the town. Hildesheim did not survive the British ‘Bomb-them-back-to-the-stone-age’ policy. In March 1945 the historical medieval town was flattened in 17 minutes by 227 Harris’ Lancaster bombers. 1,645 people died. The Parkhotel was built in 1994 and offers 78 rooms over 5 floors. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Our room was relatively small but tastefully furnished and decorated with desk & chair, flat-screen TV on the wall & wardrobe. We had a good twin bed, and a separate bathroom with toilet, washroom & shower. All was very clean. Complimentary mineral water, but no coffee & tea facility. The area is very quiet. The window can be open but has no mosquito screen. Free Wi-Fi Internet and parking. The sauna facility is small but adequate. The buffet breakfast is excellent with ample variety: eggs made to offer, cold cuts, bread and rolls, juices, cereals, fruit, milk, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea & coffee. The atmosphere in the Berghölzchen hotel is modern and we had a nice stay. Recommended.

Book this hotel on a business trip, staying close to the customer's accommodation, the hotel is a traditional European architectural style, ancient and elegant, with a sense of history. Hotel staff will not be Chinese, others are acceptable. Breakfast is plentiful.

The hotel is located near the main station and the pedestrian zone. The entrance and the subsequent bar area is modernly furnished with various seating opportunities. The staff are very friendly, premature and very helpful. The room - located on the railway - is quiet at closed window and corresponds to the concept of Intercityhotels. Good choice at breakfast buffet. Parking is possible at a price in a nearby parking house.

Haben das Hotel auf unserer Durchreise gewählt u.a. Wegen der Nähe zur Autobahn. Hiervon ist auch nichts zu hören. Aber die Zimmer selber sind sehr hellhörig. Hatten eine laute Familie neben uns und das Quietschen der Metalltüren auf der Empore zur Kindersicherung hört man Zimmer weiter. Warum lässt man nicht jedes 2. Zimmer aktuell frei, wenn die Belegung eh sehr gering ist? Betten sind auch schon etwas durchgelegen und das Desinfektionsmittel hinterlässt keinen angenehmen Geruch in den Zimmern. Personal ist kaum anzutreffen, wie ausgestorben. Self Check in mit Code für die Türe gewünscht. Leider können wir das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sadly having a negative review about an Accor hotel after a very long time.. So here goes - first look at the hotel, completely impressed. Great structure, beautiful green surroundings, just amazing - check in: Saturday 7th August. The lady at the counter seemed genuinely upset that we had decided to disturb her by checking in. Having a bad day perhaps ? Sorry but you chose to work in the service industry. - At 14:15 i was told that I have to pay more since check in time is 15:00. Unfortunately I had to throw out the 'I am a Gold member' card. Does it need to come to this ? Shouldnt the system be checked first before asking a client to pay ? While I know this is Germany / Europe etc. and service is not considered important, I would make it clear I was not expecting a red carpet or trumpets. A simple smile and welcome to the hotel would have been enough. -No welcome drink voucher offered. I did not even bother asking for one. In the rest of the world the Gold card (or membership) is acknowledged with a thank you or a welcome back etc. Again not life changing at all. But isnt that the reason one stays in a chain hotel instead of family BnB's or Airbnb etc. so that one can expect uniformity irrespective of the location? Something for Accor to ponder about. Room - There is no AC. Just FYI. No complains because I had just assumed there will be one and not checked in advance - Booked a double bed which ended up being with 2 seperate single matresses. So if you are there with your partner and hoping to even hug in bed, one of you will slip in between the matresses. Bizarre ! Location - great with respect to the train station and all other sigh seeing venues - negative because it is close to a (what seems major) intersections and open windows and emergency vehicles can make life tough. Lastly.. There was no espresso machine in the room and if I remember correctly no bathrobe either. While the corona excuse might be valid, I believe anyone willingly chosing to stay in a hotel will not suddenly get worried because of an espresso machine in the room. My wife and I stayed two nights. We have been here before on shorter stop-overs and chose the hotel again for our recent stay. The hotel is located in the Exhibitions Area with very good access to motorways A37, A7, and A2, and the Leine-Center with about 60 shops and restaurants is within a short walk. Even though the hotel is situated outside the downtown area, it is okay for sightseeing in the Hannover area. Within a short walk you will find the subway station Laatzen Zentrum (U1) with excellent connections to downtown and other lines. Short time parking is available for check-in and check-out in front of the hotel and good garage parking is available at EUR 7/night. Unfortunately, the short time parking spaces were used for overnight parking during our stay, and this annoying issue should be addressed by the management. Our room was a business room with access to the Executive Lounge. The room was spacious and comfortable with a/c, safe and coffee maker. It was very quiet and clean, and in the business lounge we had a drink and a snack both days. The included buffet breakfast was very good with a large selection of both hot and cold dishes.
