Grupotel Nilo & Spa

Great location if you wish to visit Peguera as a short distance from main street and beach front (which is beautiful by the way). Rooms were an ok size the bathroom however was tiny and not easy to move around in. The beds were horrendously hard (as other reviewers have said) and the pillows weren't much better. Balcony was a good size. No kettle or cups in the room but you just have to ask reception. If you have hired a car there is only on street parking and that is metered but the hotel does have a secure car park that is chargeable if you wanted to park it off the street and pay a flat fee. The pool and sunbathing area is nice and set out on grass - but was soooo quiet - it felt like I was at a Library - nobody was talking, no music was playing and it lacked atmosphere - so if you want a lively pool scene this is not the hotel for you. My friend and I tended to go to the beach every day which had more atmosphere. Be aware to hire 2 sunbeds a parasol and lock box is 20.50 euro which can add a lot to your holiday if you use that every day. Some people took their own beds/chairs and parasols. One important thing to note about the pool is that my friend has blonde hair and she went in the pool on the first day and her hair got wet and then turned green. We did raise this with reception and noticed a lot more blonde women with varying levels of green tinged hair too. The hotel did offer a conditioning treatment to my friend once we had brought it to their attention, however, I would say they need to look at their chemical levels in the pool as a priority. The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to help you with anything that you may need (special mention to Mar). The buffet breakfast is just about ok with food that most people can eat but the same old fayre every day. But it does the job of giving you a breakfast to start the day. We only stayed B&B and I would probably not do more than that to be honest. For a quick 5 day break in the Sun it was a fine base, but I have stayed in far better hotels in Majorca and would look to stay elsewhere if I were to return to Peguera specifically.

Lovely friendly hotel next to sea and town centre yet very tranquil location.Very helpful and friendly staff special thanks to Matilde for help and professionalism.Clean and up to date rooms Kids loved it also.Highly recommended.Would definitely visit again

The Nilo is a beautiful hotel and because of this, we keep going back. We have lost count of how many times we have been there, but some of the reasons we love it so much are - the amazingly peaceful location that is so close to the beach, the lovely rooms, the beautiful pool, the spa, the delicious food and the high level of cleanliness. The most special thing about The Nilo though is the hotel staff. They are amazing and genuinely cannot do enough for guests. They are friendly, courteous, super efficient and make every holiday there so special. They are an absolute credit to Grupotel and we must give a special mention to Maty and Xisco on reception, Felisa and Victor in the restaurant, and also say a big welcome to the new hotel Director Alex, it was lovely to meet him for this first time this year. We genuinely can't wait to go back again soon!

Great location by the beach and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Nice rooms, clean, spacious, functional, has the sink/fridge in some rooms. Really enjoyed the stay and will consider it again. Good breakfasts and lots of vegetarian options (I'm veggie) Decent pool. Generally a much older crowd comes here i.e. this is not for the Club 18-30

Very nice hotel, located about 100 m from the main boulevard and the beach, so close to everything, but no noise. There is a lot of greenery and a nice swimming pool in the hotel. Sufficient number of sun loungers by the pool. It was forbidden to reserve them, but there were free sunbeds at every hour. It was cool. Good thing there was no music at the pool. This allows for better rest. The food is delicious and varied. Fish, meat, local food. Something good for everyone. A great thing was to designate a permanent table for dinner. Thanks to this, there were no queues. Clean hotel, rooms cleaned every day. Pool towels changed every two days. Nothing to complain about. Very nice staff. Always smiling. The guests are 95% German. Quiet company. There were almost no children in the hotel when I was there, which is a plus. Disadvantages: Basically one. The hotel management should ban smoking on sun loungers by the pool. When it's hot, cigarette smoke is unbearable. On the other side of the pool there are tables with chairs where you can smoke a cigarette. Overall, a hotel worth recommending. I would go back there in the next years.

Very good hotel, clean, friendly staff, breakfast was super. Location perfect, 100 metres from boulevard and beach. Quiet atmosphere, no loud music or animation. Few negatives: noisy room (little kid next to us) and not really a non smoking area/smokey rooms next to us (balcony). We will come again.
