Quite a mixed review for this trip. Over all, for a Center Parcs, Erperheide has quite a lot to offer for younger children. The communal areas of the park are extremely well cleaned. The pool is great when working properly, you can eat inside the dome but you will never see a piece of food or rubbish in the pool area. Staff walk around with watering cans, watering the floor to keep it clean. The shower and change area is great for families. When we first got to the pool we were pleasantly surprised and excited as the flumes and the rapids were super fast and working properly. HOWEVER, from day 3 of our week long break, the water pumps broke so you had to literally walk down the rapids and jump off the end! The flumes were also slower. When we asked staff if this was being fixed they stated they were but it would take days. They said they either keep them open and not working properly or close them so they keep them open. My children lost interest and spent most of the time thereafter in the main swimming pool. This was a massive disappointment for the holiday as this was the main reason we locked Erperheide. The arcade is great with modern machines and an electronic points on a card system. You pay €16.99 for a card and get 30 credits to spend. The points can be redeemed on prizes but the amount you spend does not equate even remotely to what you can win. But the children had fun winning the tokens. The pony experience was wonderful. The children got to groom the animals, decorate their manes and then go for a walk on the ponies. Bowling was fun and vibrant. The wall climbing was brilliant mainly due to the attentive and knowledgeable staff member who was supportive, friendly and helpful. Silent disco was fun. The silent cinema had no option for the english language so we didn’t get to do this but it looked cute with bean bags for people to sit on. Now, other disappointing and crucial aspect of the holiday is of course the accommodation. We went for a premium lodge, so the medium grade and paid extra to choose a lake view. We could not see the lake!’ When we got to the “lodge” the cleaner was there with a rolled up rug and told us it smelt too bad and she was taking it away. She did offer to get another one but said she thought it would be better without: we obliged as we didn’t want to risk the children spilling anything on a new one. However, after the scent of the initial cleaning products wore off, we were left with accommodation that smelt like a grotty pub. Smoke ash and musty old beer is the only way I can describe it. The accommodation is built with breeze blocks which haven’t even been rendered…. They painted the bricks so it felt as though we were sleeping in a toilet block. There wasn’t a cosy feel about it. There were lots of mosquitos and despite wearing various repellants we got bitten every night. I feel that Center Parcs could make more effort with outside areas as it’s unkept and uninviting. The accommodation also

We have just returned after staying Mon-Fri with children aged 9 and 7. We stayed in a Pony Cottage (311). The accommodation was perfect for what we needed and even better that our children got their own rooms to stop any arguing! The back of the cottage overlooks the stables where the children were able to go up to the fences to stroke them at any time. There were also bunnies in the gardens just roaming around. The cottage was also excellent location with just a short work to the market hall and right next to the animal petting area (which we had to stop in every time we past). Pony Activities - This was definitely worth doing and a highlight for my 7 year old. We had 3 days of activities (around 2.5 hrs each day). At the start of the week we were allocated our pony (the beautiful Danni) and each day we had to collect her and then bring her back to the cottage garden to groom and feed her. Each day they got to ride her and do different walks. Nancy and Sara were lovely with the children and it was great that they took time to repeat everything in English for us. Aqua Mondo was fantastic! Definitely the highlight for my 9 year old. Great that they have swimming vests hanging up when you first enter that you can use when needed. We were in here for hours and it is great that it stays open til 9pm. Plenty of tables and chairs all over and a nice cafe in the centre which we ate at twice for a break. all of the slides and different pool areas meant there was so much to do. Changing rooms were clean and always had dry floors (unlike the UK). Lockers were accessed using your wristband which was really easy. Baluba Soft Play was our other go to area and was another great place. Open til 7pm which again was fab. a few different areas with fun fast slides and a nice bar / food area. Brilliant soft play for it being included in the price. We only had time to do one activity by the time we did the pony club, pool and soft play. We tried the Kids Safari Jeeps which were 15 euro for 25 mins (enough time to get around the trail). The kids chose to share and had a load of fun. We had control of the breaks thankfully as I think my 7 year old needs more practice!! The face that you can enter the petting zoo whenever was also a bonus as we spent so much time in their and by the end we all had our favourite goats. Cons - The breakfast bowls, were tiny! Not sure how you are supposed to eat cereal without it all spilling out. Bring your own. Also bring bigger mugs if you like a decent cup of tea. -Mosquitos (not that it is Center Parcs fault). Bring repellant and some cream to help the itching. We couldn't open the windows or doors so we were extremely hot and stuffy but still got bitten plenty. -Food. This was probably the only let down for us, we have fussy kids anyway which didn't help but we preferred using the local supermarket and making our own meals then eating on site as I think it was just too pricey. All in all, this was an amazing holiday e

We really did have an amazing time! We would absolutely return and pay for more activities. It’s really opened our eyes to this sort of environment when we usually stay in hotels. So before I continue I would highly recommend this place. The Europe ones are so so much cheaper than the uk ones so it’s amazing value for money. We thoroughly loved the Baluba and aquamundo (could have been a bit warmer one some days though)! So much to do for my young daughter it was honestly incredible! We could easily have spent our week there alone! My only niggles would be to do with cleanliness, upkeep and maintenance. I don’t expect everything to spotless when we only paid £500 for the week but I do expect basics things like a kitchen towel, bath matt, soap and bin bags! The garden maintenance was shocking and my daughter couldn’t play outside in the garden once because it was so bad. The bedrooms were rather dirty (walls, corners ect). The rest of the cottage was fine though. The farm experience/farm animals (we did the free one) was shockingly bad. It was literally a bunch of animals shoved together in the middle of some sandy banks. The animals don’t look well looked after at all and I don’t really think it’s fair on them to be constantly poked and prodded and looked at. My young daughter loved looking at them and stroking tbem but I just felt sad for them frankly. We didn’t do anything else except for drive around the country and visit the cities. We did have a disabled pass so being able to have the car nearby was a massive bonus and my other half really struggles with a lot of walking, however this place did encourage to do more so it was great! The weather was a lot colder than anticipated so the heating was welcome. Not sure how we old have coped in the heat mind as the heat does not escape well at all from cottage. However we did absolutely love our stay and really can’t wait to come back and try out more

Wonderful holiday at Erperheide, we booked and paid for everything in advance all activities ( low climbing, pony experience, scuba diving lesson, little ones swimming lesson, a couple of nights at the buffet restaurant and two free activities a nature work shop and shelter building in the forest), which I would advise, as the activities get booked up quickly. We had a premium cottage, perfectly clean and well equipped, take dishwasher salt and rinse aid and dishwasher tablets ( we do every time to all Center parcs, as the dishwasher always needs them). Our cottage was n°437 very near to the market dome, with a play park just in front, the park is very flat so easy to ride your bike all over. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, in English or French for us. There are loads of play parks all over with swings and slides, and Baluba indoor soft playground with two massive areas, a big ball pit, trampolines etc. One of the best we had been to.

Big park close to Genk in Belgium, part of a multisite operation. It has hundreds of cottages and bungalows, accomodating from 2 upwards. As in all these places lots must be accommodated on his/her own (bathroom facilities for example) or bought /booked in advance. They have sports facilities, little lakes, space for kids, a central restaurant and market.

Just arrived and honestly, not impressed. Accomodation standard is about as basic as it gets. Sheets marked and ripped, towels so thin you could spit through them, no closed storage for food, pot handle nearly came off with boiling water in, husband had to fix to make safe, area where loungers are placed, grass is up to the lounger and clearly hasn't been cut in a while, paths to accomodation in poor repair. Honestly not at all what you'd expect from centerparcs brand. Feels tired and old and in serious need of some care to bring up to centerparcs brand expectations. They're trading on the name. Not tried activities or main entertainment hub yet so we'll see how that goes but honestly, at this rate, wish we hadn't bothered.

we are a family of four with two boys from eight and 10 that stayed five weekdays in Center Parcs. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The first thing we like about this park is that it was almost carless park , this means that all the parking area was at the entrance and you could only load and discharge your things with the car. These allowed families to walk around nature without worrying about cars passing by, it was very nice and relaxing. The signs on the road to walk from the cottage to the main building were very confusing which allow us to spend a lot of time in the nature walking around . The room was okay, beds were comfortable but beware that you need to bring everything, they left sheets for us to make our own beds, but there was not even one toilet paper or soap available when we arrive, Make sure to bring hand towels for the toilet and floor towel for the shower, it normally gets all wet when you take a shower. The room had a hanger where we could hang our wet clothes, but we were not aware of it until the last day, it was not mentioned anywhere, you need to do a little bit of discovery on yourself. The TV is quite old so you cannot mirror your phone or connect to Netflix so make sure to bring some boardgames to yourself. The waterpark was good, it had 2 main sliders for the big kids to enjoy and several different pools around, also showers are mixed do not have soap so make sure to bring it yourself. The restaurant inside the water park was very basic and only had a couple of sandwiches. there is a lot of activities to do in the park, we really enjoy the tuk tuk rides and the boat rides, which fortunately didn’t have any queue or reservation needed when we arrived. The favourite part for my kids was baluba, spend several hours playing on the indoor playground that had good sliders for all ages. Once thing that I believe could improved was the service, almost activities we barely saw any staff and most of them were self-service. On the great café you can order via.QR and once they bring the food they do not even say hello or smile and they remove the plates quite fast, but no interaction at all . For the prices I pay on the restaurant, I will have appreciated a smile or a welcome or “how was you food ? “ type. The same happened when we arrived to the park, a lady gave us a bracelets ( based on the car plate i guess ) and push us to move forward without saying welcome . The only place we really felt welcome was on the beef restaurant where the service was excellent and the host gave the kids an exploring game for them to be distracted while the food arrived. overall good , but we would have loved some more service during the vacations. The park is located quite remotely so very little activities to do outside the park .
