Me and my girlfriend stayed at Ekati Mare for 10 days, and it is the most beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious, the food is excellent, and the staff are kind and attentive. Alexandros was particularly helpful, and took care of us during our stay. The new pool bar is amazing and the entire hotel feels luxurious. The rooms are kept clean and the pool area is well kept, and there is a variety of comfortable sun loungers and day beds. I would definitely come back to Ekati Mare to stay, I cannot fault this hotel, and offer many thanks to the staff for taking such good care of us.

Absolutely awful!!! Please read. This place looks great from the outside, it’s very clean, tidy and well decorated. We were happy to book into the hotel, even though we were a bit late at 22.30. This wasn’t our fault, we were on a TUI Holiday with transfers included etc so we’re not the only one to be checking in at that time. We were given a room and it was beautiful in the very new part of the building. Happily we dumped or bags went to the bar for a pint and popped next door for some very nice food. On our return I cannot tell you how bad the room smelt!!!! The sewer smell was just dreadful. No one could have slept in that room. We made a complaint and after quite a while we were moved to a different room in a different hotel for the night. Long story short, we are now on our third room in a little over 12hrs!!! We are on our first day of a week long holiday and I am currently looking at flight to get me home tomorrow. YES IT REALLY IS THAT BAD. Location is good at the end of the ***** so no noise etc. staff are very helpful and really nice BUT I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Expensive and highly overrated. Sorry.

This hotel was very disappointing. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room had very little storage with open shelves and a hanging rail. The safe was unusable as it was not attached to anything and could be removed from the room easily. Food was always cold and not labelled. On our last day we asked to pay to keep our room on as we had an evening flight as this was not possible we asked if there was a courtesy room provided to shower we were told to use the toilets at the bar to change as there were only two toilets with no locks on the doors this was not possible. This hotel does not deserve a four star rating. Kavos in May was very disappointing with the beach being cleaned with lorries and most places still closed.

Hotel and staff were nice but a lot of issues! Upon arrival we were taken to a bottom floor room, where the ‘balcony’ was just 2 chairs next to the restaurant, although when we brought up our concerns to staff we were moved to a different room at a different location across the road. The shower and all drainage smelled like rotten egg (sometimes the pool too) and the water was either freezing cold or boiling hot. One night at dinner we were approached by a manager and told we had to pay for damages done to our sheets, the night before we had been out and my friend had stained a bed sheet and a face towel, we were very apologetic and ofcourse agreed to pay the €100 euro fine even though we though it was a bit much, we were told it could only be in cash and when we came back to pay the manager was very rude and laughed when we paid her the money, saying she had told us it was €150 instead, she said she would show us the inventory but did not, her attitude was awful and we still think that this was just her scamming two young girls out of money. After this we didn’t have our towels or bed sheets changed for the rest of our week stay, even when we asked the cleaning ladies on multiple occasions. On top of this one night all of our lights turned off and we were told there was a local power cut and we would get a new room, we waited in the lobby with other guests for 30 minutes and when we asked about moving we were told they had no other rooms and just to go back to bed. The keycard holder made a loud clicking noise all night and kept us up and the lights all turned on at 7am. I know this was out of their control but the general customer service was just shocking. The food at dinner was always cold and buffet wasn’t well organised, we ordered lunch at the pool twice, and got ‘chicken’ nuggets both times, the first time they looked normal but the second day they were brown and pink on the inside and when we asked if this was normal they just brought in more that looked exactly the same, they were cold and tasted strongly of beef and totally put us off. A few more minor issues like the staff wouldn’t let us bring any other water or juice to the pool when the ones they sold were overpriced and lukewarm, the pool water turned my white swimsuit yellow, and the pool music was very strange music and would randomly get very loud and then stop. Overall the hotel was nice but some staff really ruined our full experience. Wouldn’t recommend staying here, TOURIST TRAP!!

Beautiful hotel, spotless, our room was in the annex but is a few min walk and not a big deal! Plenty of options for the half board, the pool menu is a little expensive but gorgeous food! The local area is run down and this is the nicest hotel by far, however food and drinks in the area cheap and plenty of excursions to get out of there. We really enjoyed and would return. Staff really friendly! We got late checkout until 6pm at an additional cost but was a life saver as we got a full last day without waiting around etc.

We stayed at this hotel for our first girls holiday and the location was perfect. It felt safe as two young girls with about a five minute walk to the main ***** where all the bars and clubs are, close enough to walk but far enough out that you don’t hear any of the noise at night. Our hotel room was a two minute walk away separate from the main pool and bar area where you have to walk down a short path across the road. We didn’t realise this until we got there, but actually decided we preferred this as there was no noise from the music they played by the pool during the day and it never felt as if we were overlooked. The room was a perfect size for the two of us, with plenty of room for all our stuff as two teenage girls, although there wasn’t a wardrobe or drawers, there was a rail and a small shelving unit that did the job. However, we did find that housekeeping were knocking on our door most days between 8:30 and 9am which we felt was very early considering breakfast only started at 8am. This meant that some days our rooms didn’t get cleaned as they never came back later during the day. We also never got clean towels for the shower, even though I had asked several times to which they’d replied with we will come back at 12 with them, they never did. The food at breakfast was always hot and there was plenty of it, quickly being replaced if it was empty. I’d say there wasn’t a large choice but definitely a little something for everyone. During the day we never ate at the hotel as we felt it was a little overpriced however, the food did look nice when others were ordering it. But when the hotel is a two minute walk away from lots more restaurants that offer a wider selection of food for a cheaper price we couldn’t justify spending the money at the hotel. As for the evening meal we didn’t get to experience all of the different themed nights at the buffet as we ate out a few times but a similar comment to breakfast, there wasn’t loads of options but definitely something for everyone. I’m not sure how someone with certain dietary requirements would have chosen what to eat because there was no information on allergens or what the food contained which could be an issue. There was a choice to eat indoors or outdoors and it never felt crowded in either areas, the only problem was the tables were never set. This meant that once you had gotten your food and sat down at a table you had to then wait for a waitress to come over and give you your cutlery, set the table etc which felt a bit strange at times but the staff were always friendly. There were also lots of cats over the hotel, especially at dinner time so bare this in mind if you’re not really a cat person, one even tried to come in our room whenever we opened our door. During the day we never struggled to get a sunbed together no matter what time we came down to the pool area which was perfect. There was plenty areas for both sun and shade. The pool was a decent size that felt like there wa

We only stayed for 2 nights and would not recommend! On arrival they insisted ee pay an extra environmental tax of €14 when they advertised that it was only €6 when making the booking. Bathroom floor always got soaking wet after showering causing the room to also become wet. Would not recommend buffet dinner. Food was cold and tasteless. When we got to our room we had to kill over 30 mosquitos as all the windows were left open before. The power went out in our room for 3 hours in the middle of the day and they were very slow to try to fix it. As we had no power we couldn't make tea or coffee. We asked if they could give us one for the inconvenience and they rudely refused. Checkout was 11am but at 10am while we were out for breakfast the cleaner came in, moving all our stuff and refused to leave to allow us to pack. For a "Luxury Boutique Hotel" I would expect much better service.

Just back from a week’s stay at Ekati Mare Boutique Resort :- On arrival we were allocated one of the new rooms…it was stunning! Staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Nikki on reception, both when we arrived and throughout our stay! The new pool bar opened when we were there (incidentally, without any announcement!!! ) and is an enhancement to the hotel, well equipped, but we felt that the same charge of 6 euros for both small and large beer was a bit off! We were half board and although breakfast was acceptable, the buffet evening meal was unappetising, lukewarm and each night seemed to be a rehash of the previous night’s offering! Would not return unless food reviews show things have been improved!
