Astre Vue Resort

This property has various stay options such as delux rooms, villas, tents etc. I stayed in the villa. It was a 2BHK villa with sunrise view from the bedroom. OMG!! I never saw sunrise from the mountains with this ease. It was just amazing!! One of the best sunset I saw in the mountains. The location of the villa gives it advantage to get the most stunning views from Gumkhal. Got a stunning view of the Himalayas, sunset, sunrise, star studded sky, halo. I staff was friendly and hospitable. Loved the food and hospitality. Glass walls in villa and glass room made me feel so connected to nature even when I was indoors, I loved the integration. Dr. Yash, owner of the resort is gem of a person and doing a lot for the uplif**ent of locals in the village. Such as there are organic products from the locals available in the resort such as A2 ghee, turmeric which are used in food preps and also available for sale. Educational programmers for children, clinical studies for local herbs etc. It was an amazing place to be!! Whenever you plan your next vacation to Lansdowne do try out this place.

The experience of the stay was one of the nicest for us. Located in the serenity, the views from the hotel was the best I have experienced. We could see the snow cladded mountains peaks of the Indo-******* boundary, the sight of the mighty Nanda Devi kept us in awe. The full glass windows allowed us to see the sunrise and sunset, which was mesmerising. Away from the unnecessary vibrations of cities, the beautifully designed property kept us contented during our visit. I will surely ask my friends and other family members to visit. I have known of people who have repeatedly stayed in this hotel from past few years. Highly recommended.

One of best places to stay ...views are just awesome one can see sunset and sunrise and snow capped Himalaya from this property..well maintained gardens and excellent staff coupled with overall good food .

At an average tariff this sprawling property is fine enough to cater to the needs and leisure of a tourist. Enchanting views of hills from room and ample space around to roam around the lush green property. Rooms are normal I.e not elegantly furnished but fine enough to lodge in. Service is very prompt. Food items are being served as per your orders. Good part is that branded mineral water was served with tariff. Over all nice experience.

The location is excellent, you can see the snow clad mountains. Peaks of Nanda devi, Trishul, Kamet, Chaukhambha are visible when skies are clear. Both sunrise and sunset views are visible from this resort. It is serene and a place to laze around. The Indian food is excellent, specially the daal. Masala tea is also tasty. Staff is helpful. But if all rooms are books, then it feels crowded. Room service may not be available very early in the morning, before 8 AM.

Hi! Today I'm sharing with the Trip Advisor community my review about Astre Vue resort and I had stayed in this resort from 13th April 2022 to 16th April 2022. Let me start by asking, is it the stay that matters the most or the place you've visited or a balance of both? For me it's about exploring the place and being a traveler. But when you pay a hefty amount for something and do not get the basics, it puts me off. I'll divide this review into pros and cons and let you know my outlook of this resort. Pros: 1. The staff members working in the food and room service depar**ents are the ones putting in some real effort and by staff members I do not mean the ones ***aging them, but the ones who are actually putting food on your table and cleaning your rooms. There was a buffet system only on the last day of my stay, before that orders were being taken individually from guests and there were only 2 people from the kitchen staff who had to make several runs for so ***y guests. But from my point of view they did their job fine and it was hard on them also considering the guest capacity of this resort and the profit that the owner is making in return. My point being is that, either maintain a proper buffet system or hire more staff so that they are not overloaded by individual requests from the guests. During my stay, when I left the resort for nearby places and came back later, I got my room clean and organized. 2. Food is something that is based on individual liking and not something that can be judged based on reviews. I'm sharing my feedback for the food, but I would strongly urge people reading this review not to go purely by what I'm saying. Yes you may take a cue from my review, but it should not be that if I said something good or bad then it definitely is going to be. Your thinking and liking may be different from mine. Do not set very high expectations for the food here. This is a resort located in a village area meant to be a resort and not some 4 star or 5 star hotel. The spices in the food are balanced, will suit most palates and is also suitable for the kids and elderly. It is every thing basic and minimal like dal, roti, rice, "ALOO"(remember you're in Uttarakhand). But the food is hygienic, is nicely cooked and will fill your stomach properly. Like I said before, keep your expectations down to a minimum just like the owner should be keeping the resort prices (no pun intended). 3. The glass house. The resort has a nice glass house wherein the food is served for the guests. It is a decent sized glass house, which can house around 18-20 guests at a time. The highlight of this area is that one side overlooks the hills of Gumkhal village and from the other side you can peek at the garden, lawn and some cottages. The only downside is lack of proper ventilation in the glass house. 4. Some areas of the property are well maintained, such as the garden, lawn and the glass house.
