Nice hotel with good location . The staff is very kind and helpful . However, the wifi didn’t work well in the room.

Very clean, spacious rooms with lovely bedding and towels. Close to everything so you can walk the plazas, but you will probably get turned around! Friendly staff, nice basic Mexican breakfast. Free but spotty wifi. The charm here is the historic aspect of the hotel - it is obviously old and does appear to have been Mission accommodations. Or perhaps it was always a hotel. Lots of long and mysterious corridors, room windows look out onto interior hallways. Our room was at the very end of the hall, and the walls got closer and closer as we neared our door...

So I moved to Morelia a month ago and of course am still exploring around. Decided to head to Pátzcuaro where the island on the lake is near by called Janitzio . Left Saturday morning from Morelia for about an hours drive with beer stop included 😊. Found a hotel in the center for about 150 us a night keeping in mind they go back 300 years so cosmetically not worth it but historically more. Spent the night in the market, and listening to music song dance and live bands, had an amazing time. People are very helpful and not pushy at all. Slept decent but very chilly at night because hotels here do not have a/c or heat. Apartments are the same as the weather is nice all year round. Next day (Sunday) head to the island for another adventure (almost died walking up thousands of stairs) but a good time just the same. Peeing and pooping is 5 pesos but includes 10 sheets or so of paper, use sparingly , haha. Anyways folks hope this helps, highway is safe plenty of traffic and nice shops etc. really nice stuff to buy but carrying it around turned me off, will have to go for a day of shopping as I love hand crafted stuff.

Myself (a mother) and my infant were in a room we were put in a hallway far away from everything. The power “went out” at 3:40 am. The rest of my group noticed the power was out and called me to let me know then we all combined in my room during the outage. As they were leaving when the lights came on at 5 am, I found a MASTER KEY in the keyhole of my room door. Someone attempted to come into my room during the “power outage” The people working at the hotel were the only ones who knew it was just me and my infant in that room. We knew it was a master key because we attempted to open the door of the other room my party was staying at. The key opened and locked that door as well. I repeat please DO NOT stay here if you have children. It is NOT SAFE.

I had two reservations for two rooms, two nights. Reservations had been confirmed, but they said they only had 1 room for 4 people for 1 night. For the second night they were fully booked. In the end they gave us the two rooms only for the first night. We had to move to another hotel and request a refund of the second night.
