A beautiful location right set on the beach with no other houses close by, right on a very unspoilt beach, beautiful walks, lots to see and do. The hotel restaurant ‘Leeto’ serves very good food and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There are great seafood restaurants nearby in Paternoster, a pretty fishing village.

Our second stop of our holiday we were delighted to check in to The Strandloper at one end of Paternoster. The whole town is low rise and has that 'Greek' look to it with all buildings painted in white. The Strandloper is the same low rise white washed look and was a very relaxing environment to stay in. We chose one of the courtyard rooms and it was delighful with views over the fynbos and onto the beach but so private because no one could walk past your room. The room itself wasnt huge but it had a great indoor and outdoor shower with a waterfall feature that you could listen to when sat in the courtyard. The pool area wasnt the best if I am honest and could do with improving. But the food in the restaurant was absolutley superb and this and the kind and attentive staff are the standout highlights for us.

We felt very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful down to the last detail. The service is extremely courteous. The breakfast is just as outstanding as the dinner in the restaurant. Great hotel with beautiful design and outstanding food. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 3 nights in a Nature suite and had a fantastic time looked after by Nossie and her wonderful team . Upon arrival we were greeted like old friends by the Strandloper team and offered canapés and a glass of fizz. The room was immaculately clean, furnished beautifully and the views to the nature reserve were outstanding . The sunrise was spectacular and the standard of food in the restaurant was exceptional. We will definitely be returning next year but for longer !

We arrived on (valentines weekendˋs) Saturday and it turned out that our booking was actually starting a day later. Paternoster was packed and no rooms available..Strandloper team nevertheless did not give up and managed to get us into one of their private cottages.(very nice btw). Next day we moved in „officially“. Room are spacious and had the beach hut vibe on a stars level. Breakfast was superb and also dining their restaurant for dinner was a great experience. Thank you so much for „out of the box“- thinking and acting. Wèll be back!

We had a wonderful dinner at the Leeu Restaurant at the Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel. Excellent food, beautiful view, lovely staff and great service. The ambience is great and we would highly recommend. Reservations are essential in high season.

Our welcome was one of the best of any hotels. Very friendly, with immediate glasses of sparkling wine and a hand towel. Despite being late for lunch they arranged for us to eat in the restaurant The food was good but not amazing. The service excellent and the front desk was so helpful. Breakfasts were fabulous. The vibe throughout the hotel was fantastic, and nothing is too much trouble. What was most special were the views, with the ability to walk down the beach either way and amazing views to the beach. If you want to walk down to the main town there are some excellent restaurants. We had lunch at a small cafe and had delicious fish and prawns. The turn down service is great, with hand made chocolates left in the room. Lovely bath and shower and a great terrace, although the sun wasn’t on ours much. It’s important to point out that this isn’t a 5 star hotel, and the sheets/ duvets/ sun loungers, state of the pool (needs repainting and cleaning more often) reminds you of that. But the position and the service makes up for that. I would recommend some improvements to make it a must go destination, but we plan to go back.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. We had an ocean suite, which I can truly say was one of the best rooms we have ever had on our travels. So well designed with three distinct sections for sleeping, bathing and relaxing. Every detail had been carefully considered. There were two outside deck areas too and direct access to the beach. There were even a set of binoculars provided to watch the local wildlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted with a smile and a glass of bubbly before being shown our room. We had dinner in the restaurant with some friends in the evening and the food and wine were excellent. The breakfasts were really good. No buffet. Everything was to order and was perfect. If we come back to Paternoster, we will definitely return to this hotel. Can certainly recommend.
