Artotel Cabin Bromo

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While there were definitely some highlights, there were also a few disappointing aspects that affected our overall stay. One of the standout positives was the friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone we interacted with was polite, helpful, and made an effort to ensure we were comfortable. The overall service was good, and the team seemed genuinely eager to assist. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was excellent. Every meal we had was delicious, however, we encountered an issue with breakfast. Due to unexpected traffic, we arrived late. We asked if some food could be set aside for us, as we had prepaid for breakfast. Unfortunately, we were told that this request should have been made the night before, which was disappointing and left us feeling a bit let down. The room itself was smaller than it appeared in the photos online, and we were surprised to find that there was no heating or cooling system—just a fan. Additionally, there were old stains on the bedding, which gave a less-than-ideal first impression. The hotel has a great view from the top, but unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay, so we weren’t able to fully enjoy it. Overall, the hotel has potential, with friendly staff and great food, but there are areas that need improvement.

A lot of dirt and suspicious brown stain (blood) found on bed, saw a tiny cockroach crawl on bed too….furniture found with a lot of dust and bathroom had a bad odor all the time , location wise is very good and recommended….recommend to extend the breakfast timing until 1100hrs because people visit Bromo to see sunrise and Mount Bromo which make it slight delay to go back hotel to have their paid breakfast

Really great location and views. Staff were very friendly. Room was less modern than expected. No AC for example. Hot water ran out quickly. Would recommend for the view overall. Better than most accommodation alternatives in the area.

Quite nice cabin at the bromo town, would recommend. However the cooking staff in breakfast needs much more training.

Limited hot water for shower but overall nice hotel for healing

We stayed at family cabin no 111. Awesome sunrise views from the cabin and we loved the swinging long bench at the balcony. Its quite a steep uphill walk from our cabin to the lobby/parking area which is not an issue for us. Breakfast spread was good with variety choices of food. We did a short 10mins walk from Artotel to Lava View Lodge for the Mt Bromo view. Highly recommend to stay here!
