All was very good. Lovely setting in lush gardens.. very comfortable room, good food and the young trainee staff try their best to satisfy all your requests.. Young Rashmika was very attentive and discrete… we are visiting during the low season so the hotel is empty and things are running slow and low.. not all items on the menu are available… the property is in need of a good renovation… it looks and feels tired.. the location is fabulous.. situated on the most beautiful calm white sandy bay of Passikuda … I must repeat that the grounds of this hotel are spectacular! We will come again for sure!

Had a lovely stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the beach and pool areas were just perfect for relaxing. The food was decent, though there’s room for improvement. What truly stood out was the staff—exceedingly warm, attentive, and helpful throughout. Their service made all the difference. Would definitely consider coming back!

We are always so well looked after every time we visit Anantaya, hence why we come back atleast once a year. From having a relaxing time to good food and hospitality, will definitely recommend. We have been coming atleast 7 times. This time, they went out of their way to help us celebrate my mother’s birthday! Big thank you to Athanayaka (Food & Beverage Executive), Lahiru (Restaurant supervisor), Chef Sanjaya and Sathish (Engineering) and to all the other amazing staff. See you next time!

The website is misleading showing the resort over 5 years ago and the seafood restaurant being open when it was closed a few years ago. See my photo of the website and the reality. The resort is in need of investment with plenty of things being broken or in poor repair. Having said that, the staff are absolutely amazing and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a success which it was. Good boat trip with Sail Lanka. Good massage.

The photos and awards are very old and do not reflect the current state of the resort. It is very tired and in need of a complete makeover. The seafood restaurant shut a couple of years ago yet still feature on the website. It is currently covered in bird poo!

This hotel is beautifully located on a truly incredible beach. The hotel itself is attractively designed and the rooms are luxurious with excellent comfortable beds. The staff are so kind, friendly and helpful, and looked after us and our kids really well. The main downsides for me were the fact that the bathroom is in the bedroom with no door. There is a glass door for the toilet which doesn’t reach the ceiling, so there’s a real lack of privacy. The second was the lack of atmosphere in the evening. We went to the next door hotel for a drink on the last night, which was perfect for our family with mocktails and fun music. The Anantaya could do with revamping a bar somewhere for the evening.

The Room out onto the pool was the best bit. Our housekeeper Sandeep made sure our room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with water etc each day, decorating the bed which was a really nice touch. The hotel itself was looking dated and the food was of a low standard in terms of choice and freshness for a resort of this level (5 star - which it is not). We spent a lot of time out of the respite as a result.

We went as a Family with two 14 & 18 year old daughters on this Holiday. First went on a Great 8 day roundtrip with Fahmy & Sally Tours and Stayed then 6 dass in Anantaya Resort for pure relaxing. It was Great ! Beach was Great, people always Smoking and very helpful, rooms (superior) Great and clean, Food very good (more Indian orientated and always 2-3 stations life cooking). Can really recommend this Hotel.
