Very clean and very helpful staff food was readily available just around the corner plenty of choices of what we could eat. Very convenient close by the Wiregrass sports complex which is what we were looking for. Only complaint was the beds were kind of uncomfortable and need better pillows.

We had a queen room (#208). Very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. It seemed pretty new and was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel itself was nicely decorated and the breakfast was varied and nice -- standard stuff, but with southern amenities like gravy. One little quirk about our particular room was that the digital readings on the clock and the thermostat didn't work (see pictures). A minor thing though. The only real negative about this hotel I have to report is about the side parking lot. Every time we pulled into the side parking (where there is a key-operated entrance that we used to get to our room) we saw people loitering quite a bit and, especially at night, didn't feel as safe. And there was always random trash in this lot. Discarded masks, food cups, etc.

This hotel was convenient for a stopover stay while traveling. Free parking, with plenty of spaces. There are a couple of restaurants near by if needed, there is also a Starbucks less than a .25 mile away. The room was clean, the staff was polite and friendly. The bed was a bit firm, not the best sleep but not a deal breaker for this price point, that is expected. There are 2 seating options in the room, other than the bed, which is convenient for eating. There is a nice outdoor sitting area with hammocks and seating both with shaded areas and unshaded areas, that is a plus. There is a little area to purchase snacks and a few sundries near the front desk if needed. A car is needed for this location, a few shops near by but not really walkable. As for the room, it felt damp, the bed, towels and even our things started to feel damp. The explanation was that this is FL. As I lived in South FL and North FL, I don't buy that. There is an issue with the AC system. But for one day stopover not a deal breaker. There is only one elevator, which was inconvenient during peak times. This one elevator is utilized by staff with carts as well guest trying to get breakfast and guest checking out. Other times the one elevator was not an issue. There are only 3 floors in this hotel so the stairs were an option. In the end, the value was there for this location. Budget friendly find!

First of all the employees act like you owe them something, not very friendly and helpful. Room was dirty and nasty due to they clean every 3rd day as I was told by front staff. Asked for more towels said they had a towel shortage. The pool was filled with a bunch of kids unsupervised just a nightmare. The restaurant was very short staff had a 6 year old cleaning the tables on our first day there. The pool table in the bar is from the 70's and not taking care of. Oh don't let me forget the Drug Dealing going on in the side parking lot. Do yourself a Huge Favor ... Don't Stay There Go Elsewhere. This place is a Total Dump.

So clean. Everyone was so accommodating and nice! Awesome breakfast too! Would highly recommend!!!!! Got cuz the ac went out and felt like a mini vacay!! 10/10 would recommend! Because the ac went out we were very frustrated and they made everything better!!! Thank you again!!!

GGuest UserWe had a nice stay while visiting the Tampa area. Our room was clean and comfortable with a layout similar to other Springhill Suites. The room’s lighting was ample in the seating area but a bit lacking near the beds. The breakfast area was clean and comfortable with ample seating. The waffle machine we normally expect at complimentary breakfasts was noticeably missing, but there were pre-made waffles available. Parking was ample and the hotel’s wifi worked well. The hotel is located in a quiet area that appears to be recently built as Google Maps seemed a little confused about the roads adjacent to the hotel. There are many retail and dining options within a 10-15 minute drive away and the hotel is close to the Suncoast Parkway that takes you into Tampa.

GGuest UserMy wife and I were visiting the Zephyrhills area with my elderly parents. We reserved two rooms at the Roadstar mainly because of the number of positive reviews. We were not disappointed. Check in was easy. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and helpful. He suggested a parking location that would facilitate easy access to our rooms. He also informed us that bag breakfasts (darn COVID) would be available in the morning. The rooms were clean and pleasant. Some of the furniture showed wear but everything was functional. Then bathroom and sink areas were clean and had all the expected amenities like hair dryer, toiletries, etc. the toilet/bathroom was small but not difficult for us. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. Didn’t use the microwave but it was clean and appeared to be functional. We were pleased by the well-kept grounds and public areas. The lobby was clean and well-appointed. Coffee and juice was available in the AM. The pool area was clean and had plenty of chairs & lounges. The pool itself looked very nice. We didn’t swim so I can’t address the temperature. There was a designated smoking gazebo located nearby but far enough from the other public areas that smoke wasn’t a problem for us non-smokers. There was another gazebo with a four-person glider which we enjoyed with an evening beverage. Overall, We were very satisfied with our stay. It was one of the nicer properties of its type that we’ve stayed at.

GGuest UserI was not expecting too much from a two-star hotel, at least I don't believe expecting a hot shower is expecting too much. The water was cool after running it for 10 minutes. Not good. I am happy to report that the room was reasonably clean except for the back of the pocket door that only someone who was sitting on the toilet with it closed would see. Not filthy, just scruffy. Beds were comfortable. The room had a musty odor but not unbearable. It was okay. Breakfast was not too bad. I would skip the eggs and sausage (blecch!) and just go for some cereal and yogurt. Those were fresh and lovely. The employees were pleasant. We were near the elevator. I found it to be noisy, lots of loud talking and kids screaming woke me up several times. If all you want is a place to crash, then this is safe and adequate. If you are looking for luxury than go up a few stars. I found this to be extremely overpriced at $240 for my stay. But it was a Saturday night. They had me by the...well they had me. Enjoy my $240 bucks because this is the last you'll see of me unless the better places are booked up again.

GGuest UserAlthough the room we stayed in was very clean, and the beds comfortable, the hotel is showing its age. The tub had chips in the porcelain, and the shower curtain was hard to close to prevent the floor from flooding when showering. There are not enough plugs in the room for all our electronics, especially since the USB ports in the lamp between the beds were not working. Also, one of the elevators was out of service. The breakfast had a lot of choices, but the eggs and biscuits were out when we got there and it took a bit before it was replenished. Because of that we chose the cheese omelets, but they weren’t hot and were chewy. The sausage links could be improved due to an extremely tough casing which was difficult to cut through. The pancake maker was a nice addition. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I gave 4 stars because the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the employees friendly and helpful.

GGuest UserExcellent stay!! Katelyn Perez went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable & pleasant!! She was the person we looked forward to every day! We stayed from March 29th to April 6th. The rooms were lovely & clean and the cleaning staff are very thorough. I would definitely recommend it. Another lovely staff member, Annalise, who takes care of the continental breakfast area is invaluable addition. So sweet & helpful.

GGuest UserI use to manage Marriott properties. This hotel is not a Marriott, but it has become as comfortable and accommodating and I will be staying at this Rodeway Inn, whenever I am in the area.
The desk clerk that checked me in, made the difference.
