The hotel was lovely, and the lady at the front Helena was so helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. We were traveling to a couple of the islands and this was our first stop Paros. The Hotel is lower then the main street and is surprisingly quiet. The hotel is really nice looking, and is really comfortable. The room: The room is small, we were on the ground floor so the back door out of our room backed out and we were maybe 20 steps from the pool. The bathroom was very compact, and the shower was very small tough to wash everything, but it was functional. The breakfast was also very good, a buffet style serve yourself, some cold cuts of meat and cheese, some boiled and sunny side up eggs, some fruit and pastries. All in all a great hotel, nice and quaint very comfortable. 4.5 out of 5

we are a family of 6 and we had the only 2 apartments in the hotel. The hotel is a little over average, but they do not keep their promise and agreements. We had in written that airport-transfer were included. Arrival was smooth but when they found out that departure was at 5 o clock in the morning, they changed their mind. I showed them the email, with the confirmation of airporttransfer, but nothing could change their mind, so we had to book 2 taxies and pay ourself. Thats not OK wifi: 2/5 breakfast 3/5 room: 2/5 Pool: 4/5 Cleaning: 5/5 Big Supermarket 5-600 m. Town 1,6 km. Nice beach 1,2 km Would we book again ? no, not with this history.....

First of all, I am not in the habit of writing reviews but felt compelled after my son and I completed our stay at the Hotel Eri in Parikia, Paros. Efficient pickup at the ferry and seemingly warm greeting from Heleni at the front desk. We got our key and went to the room which was conveniently ready for us for our morning arrival. Room is in much need of updating. Bedding, fixtures, and furniture are very dated and not at all “ charming”, as this hotel was promised to be on our tour company’s website. The shower is tiny, as are many in Europe, but this one seemed particularly awkward to move around in. Interestingly, on the hotel website, they point out that the hotel was built in 1988 and renovated in 2001! As if the renovation was recently completed. That’s 23 years ago so it’s time for another update. If not, at least take that part off your website. It’s not really anything to crow about. Perhaps the biggest change needed had to do with accessing the room, in particular the lack of a scan card for entry to the room. Every time someone entered a room in our hallway, the lock could be heard echoing. In fact, due to lousy soundproofing, every single conversation could be heard in the hallway and from other rooms at all hours. We go to bed fairly early and even the white noise app on my phone was not enough to cover it up. I also feel compelled to comment on the breakfast offered at this property. By European standards, it was definitely lacking. I’ve stayed in many hotels and countries in Europe (including chaperoning school trips) and I’d have to say this is likely the worst breakfast I’ve seen. It was exactly the same breakfast for all 4 mornings that we stayed there. And I mean exactly. Thankfully, there was fresh watermelon and Greek yogurt. Boiled and very runny scrambled eggs were there as well. Aside from that it was largely processed food. Mini-wieners, likely from a can, store-bought bread, mass produced baked goods, including cakes and cookies. Brewed coffee only. No espresso options?Haven’t seen that in Europe in recent years. Quite disappointing, given the quality of products available at any bakery in any country in Europe. In fact, there are several excellent bakeries in Paros whose services could’ve been utilized. Charge clients a bit more to cover it if you have to. It will be better for the hotel’s reputation in the end. The hotel also has some very weird policies. No food or beverages (including water bottles) allowed in any public area of the hotel. Wait, what?! We were heading off to the beach one day and asked for some towels to take. We were told by Heleni at the front desk that it was not possible to borrow towels to do so. We thought they might have made an exception for overseas travellers who certainly don’t have room to pack beach towels in their luggage. We only had carry-on so it really wasn’t possible. Nope, a hard no without so much as an apology. So an interesting day at the beach without any method to dry

The hotel is “tired”, the room was ok size wise but the bathroom was very tiny and the shower in particular was very small. We’re used to small spaces as we travel in a trailer but this shower was particularly cramped. The shower curtain would cling to my back while trying to shave my legs. Housekeeping was very efficient and the grounds are well kept. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and another 10 minutes to the market area, so a good location.

Hotel Eri - A good place to unwind after Athens and Mykonos - beautiful setting and within walking distance of the town and beach - the food was basic but plenty - I missed the olives, cucumber and feta cheese Clean bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable beds - Lovely balcony overlooking the pool to relax on and watch the sunset. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Very expensive for what it is (over AUD$200 per night), but maybe that’s just what accomodation in Paros is now (it was a lot more expensive than we were expecting, and that was coming from staying on the caldera in Santorini with views, immediately before staying here). Owners are nice, outside of hotel has some nice Spanish villa style charm but the interiors and rooms are very dated. Ground floor room opened straight onto the driveway/front garden, no privacy or security so we didn’t feel comfortable hanging any of our clothing/swimwear out there. No sound proofing between the rooms, we spent most of our time listening to a baby wailing day and night who I think was a few rooms away. Noise from people walking past our room at night made it difficult to sleep. Ants came into the room and were throughout my partners suitcase at one point, despite us not having any food or drinks in the room. While we knew the hotel wasn’t right in town, we weren’t expecting it to be as far away from the action as it was. There is very little around the immediate vicinity of the hotel in terms of supermarkets and cafe/restaurants and it’s a good 15-20 min walk into the centre of Parikia. The breakfast provided each morning was good (bread, pastries, eggs, meat, cheese, Greek yoghurt, fruit, coffee, juice) and the undercover deck where you could eat had lovely views. The pool area is quite nice but really busy the day we spent there.

We had 4 nights at the Eri Hotel. It was a very relaxing stay and was a great base for exploring Paros. We would definitely stay here again. LOCATION: Located just outside the main town of Parikia (1km from port), it has a relaxed feel, removed from the general bustle of the port and town. However it is only a short distance from everything. A walking path out the back gate leads down to Livadia Beach and Parikia. It’s a pleasant, level walk which takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach and beachfront restaurants and maybe 12-15 mins to the centre of town. We walked down to Ephesus for dinner one night where we had a table on the sand beside the sea. Just lovely! Another night we walked to Aromas which was very good local food. A bus stop opposite the hotel makes it very easy to also head into Naoussa (15-20 min trip). ROOM: Rooms are simply decorated and the decor is a little old-fashioned but it was spacious and clean. The best part was the balcony which overlooked the pool and surrounding countryside, with a distant sea view. We sat here a couple of nights and watched beautiful golden sunsets. SERVICE: The owners were very friendly, helpful and spoke reasonable English. Someone was always available in the reception area to help with advice and local knowledge. They were also quick to reply to emails when we were planning our trip. POOL: It’s a large pool surrounded by a sprawling garden with colourful bougainvillea and red geraniums. The pool wasn’t much-used so we found it a relaxing and quiet area to sit with our books if we wanted some time out. There were always plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available and free pool towels (just ask at reception). The cabana style bar wasn’t open while we were there in early June (I assume it opens in the high season?). BREAKFAST: An excellent and generous buffet breakfast which included cereals, juices, fruit, thick Greek yoghurt, cold meats & cheeses, hot bacon, a couple of different options for eggs, as well as a good selection of breads, cakes and pastries. The chef regularly topped everything up so there was always plenty and no need to pile your plate up to avoid missing out. There are two seating areas - inside the dining room or out on the large balcony, above the pool. Most people sat outside. It was a lovely atmosphere and we found ourselves lingering over breakfast, enjoying long, slow mornings. GETTING THERE: We pre-booked the hotel transport which was waiting for us when we arrived at the port. This was by far the easiest way to get to the hotel. It took all the pain out of arriving and departing and was a pretty reasonable €10 per room (we arrived at the port and it is probably more if you’re coming from the airport).

This hotel is a true expression of hospitality and they way that it should be done. All too often, large hotel chains lack the personal touches to make you truly feel at home. Hotel Eri is a lovely, clean and well run hotel with excellent staff who take care of you like family. The rooms are basic, but have lovely balconies and comfortable beds. There’s always lots hot water and excellent pressure and the rooms are cleaned spotlessly every day. The pool is great for a dip in the afternoon or a morning wake up and the loungers are comfortable and great for relaxing with a book. Breakfast is wonderful and consists of thick Greek yogurt every day with a variety of preserves or honey, eggs, cereal, toast and fruit. There are also fresh pastries that are insanely delicious. Make sure to get up early for those. The location is a short walk from the small town but within distance to everything including a few small beaches that are worth checking out. The path is well lit and as two female travellers we always felt safe walking back to the hotel no matter what time it was. The best part was the amazing staff. Every last one of them are lovely, helpful and an asset to this little gem of a hotel. I’d like to thank them all again for making our stay in Parikia an excellent one.

Arrived late due to a ferry breakdown. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were perfect overlooking the pool and the sea in the distance. All the rooms had large balconies. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. There is a bus stop outside the hotel to take you to the town centre and other parts of the island. A great hotel out of the city centre but an easy walk in for evening meals and drinks if you want some night life.
