Overall, the surrounding environment is also good, dining and shopping are convenient. But the room is not big, saying that the standard room is allowed to sleep 4 people, but a bed is about 1.3m. It is still difficult to sleep two people. Two people can live in one room, 3-4 people, and they are crowded. Our family of three traveled, and one room slept all night, feeling too crowded, and made up a room the next day, everyone can rest better.

Hilton inn express Annapolis Maryland review The good way overpowers the bad, so I’m going to start there. I got this for $73 a night on Priceline. A huge room with a king-sized bed, a pullout couch, plenty of desk space, a small kitchenette which consists of a microwave, a sink, a good -sized refrigerator, and cupboards. The bathroom is large with a walk-in shower. Everything is super clean. I find that rare. Super friendly and helpful front desk and cleaning staff. Every single one of them. The bed was very comfortable, with awesome pillows. And many of them. You can control the heat and air conditioning with a digital unit on the wall. Super quiet unit. They actually wash the comforters! I went down to get some new towels and the attendant took me to the laundry/supply room and I saw heaps of dirty comforters in a bin and I asked her if they actually washed the comforters. They do! I personally think that should be required of every hotel! One of the best gyms I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Treadmill, elliptical, bike, a bench, free weights, yoga mats, resistance bands. You can turn the air down and it cools the room off super quick. Such an excellent hotel, that I hate to even mention any issues. But, a few things bothered me, and they may bother you as well, so I will share them. The first issue is that there is no place to hang your towel, not even a hand towel. OK, well let me correct that. There is one towel rack which acts as the handle of the shower door. And there’s a dual hook on the back of the bathroom door, but the hooks are so close together you can only hang one towel on them and so short that a towel will not stay on them. That’s it. This is a king-sized suite, so that means it sleeps at least three people. There is a vanity with a long counter, and plenty of space for some towel racks. My daughter goes to college in Annapolis, so I will stay here again, but I will pick up one of those over-the-door rack of hooks at the Dollar Tree for the bathroom first. The shower doors do not slide easily. The fan in the bathroom is connected to the light, so when you turn the light on, you turn the fan on. And that’s a great idea, because people will not remember to turn the fan on, and that causes mold. So I do not blame them for making it non-optional. However. The fan is SO INCREDIBLY LOUD that you cannot have a conversation if the light is on. You cannot listen to the news while you get ready. You cannot have a phone conversation It’s overpowering. This impacted my ability to multi-task, which affected my work. The toilet has a very powerful flush, so be sure to put the lid down or it will spray you and the floor. The shower is a clear glass door, so this means no sharing the bathroom unless you are a couple and don’t mind the exposure. Installing a shower curtain would allow someone to get ready at the sink at the same time. There are several stains on the carpet. Water pressure in the shower is great, but the w

In addition to the front desk calling at 8 o'clock to say that my card has a problem, saying that it can't be used, after explanation, it has been corrected, it seems that the front desk idea is not very clear. The rest is OK!

My girlfriend and I stayed here in August for a couple of weeks. The redecoration they’ve done is excellent- rooms are tasteful and clean. The hotel also offers free bikes which is perfect for getting around Annapolis. Best part was the staff- Elliot in particular went above and beyond to help us out. Will absolutely be staying here again.

GGuest User 2022.10.05
Just wrapped up a two-day meeting at the Historic Inns of Annapolis. I was so looking forward to staying there, as I'd heard great things about it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service and the cleanliness. We stayed in the Gov Calvert building, which is a beautiful, historic building on the main circle in downtown Annapolis, just a short walk from the MD state house. Although old, it's been preserved wonderfully, and it doesn't feel 250+ years old. When I arrived at 7:15pm, there was no valet available, so I waited in the rain at the valet stand for 10 minutes before retreating into the hotel. I checked in at ~7:30pm but had to return outside to provide the valet my key and retrieve my bags. There was no bellman to assist with the bags. When I checked in, I asked if there were a restaurant or bar in the hotel where I might get a bite to eat and was directed to the pub next door. Unfortunately, it closed at 8pm, so I had to find my way to another pub down the street and around the corner. For early evening, I was surprised to be unable to find dinner in house and being forced out into the rain to walk to a restaurant. When I returned to my room, I looked for a plug near the bed to charge my phone. There was a very, very dirty power strip behind the bedside table that had so much sticky grime on it that I had to clean the openings for the phone's cord before inserting. When we began our meeting the next morning, there was no breakfast served, though we'd ordered it when we contracted for the retreat. We were eventually provided a coffee service, though our staff had to go out to get bagels, since everyone came expecting breakfast to be included. There was food left in the refrigerator in our meeting room from a wedding over the previous weekend, which drew gnats to the room that we had to contend with over the two days. Several colleagues expressed concern at the lack of cleanliness of their bathrooms (hair in their tubs &/or bathroom sinks), so we asked that the rooms of all our guests be deep cleaned. The hotel nicely left a bottle of wine in each room after recleaning. On Day 2, we were informed mid-morning that unless we cleared our cars from the garage by 1pm, we would have to pay an extra $15 per car on top of the $32/day for valet service. (There is no self-parking option and street parking is limited.) This was not stated when we made reservations, when the meeting rooms were booked and food ordered, or when we checked into the hotel. Our meeting was not scheduled to conclude until 3:30, and we'd paid for the room's use through the end of the business day. Although the hotel agreed to waive the extra $15, we were each asked for $15 when we summoned our car through the text app the hotel uses, as valet instructions required. As a result, we had to wait at the front desk for the staff to ”release” the charges on each of our accounts before the valet could retrieve our cars. The staff that served us for the meeting we

We had another wonderful stay at The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel (a Marriott property). My wife and I go every year for our anniversary. It is not cheap, but the view and location are excellent. Rene at the front desk went the extra mile and gave us a fantastic experience. Hats off to him and our server at breakfast, Taylor, provided great service with a smile. We will be back!

Met up with a friend and we ended up staying here as even a suite was cheaper than any place in Annapolis and it’s not that far away. Arrived and waited only a minute behind a guy asking questions and the clerk (one of two working) apologized multiple times for the wait. A sign posted at the front desk noted that they wouldn’t be doing stay-over housekeeping on Saturdays - meaning they’re one of a very few places I’ve seen still offering it, at least for six days out of the week. They definitely didn’t seem to have staffing challenges - every time I walked by the desk, including as a late as 10:00 p.m., I saw two people on duty. Some places have one person on duty for the whole establishment, meaning the front desk is often unattended. Not the case here. All of the staff I interacted with were courteous and professional. The room was clean and a typical Comfort Inn room. The suite had a separate bedroom and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Even though it was two weeks after Labor Day the outdoor pool was still available. There’s a bar and restaurant on side that’s open limited hours in the evenings. The bartender/waitress was awesome and even stuck around after the kitchen closed at the official closing time to keep serving drinks. The menu was limited to mainly appetizers and bar food but it was decent and very reasonably priced. They use the restaurant for the well-stocked hot breakfast buffet and I like that they used real plates and silverware as opposed to disposable items. This was definitely an above-average hotel breakfast and non-guests could eat for $9. My only complaint was that the waffle maker was not available. All in all, this is decent choice at a reasonable price.

This particular TownPlace Suites carries the Marriott name but not the quality. It's very difficult to write a bad Marriott review but this location has a long way to go before it will have you Marriott satisfied. Most of the staff is very nice, I actually stayed for a week last month and locked my keys in my vehicle the day I was to check out. The front desk went out of the way to give me extended access to the room until I was able to gain access to my vehicle. I returned the next week to a completely different experience. There was a fill in staffer that was unable to create reservations and check in guest. I had to remain in my vehicle from 3 am until 7 am when another front desk agent arrived. I asked to use the bathroom in the lobby since I had to wait outside 4 hours. I was told only registered guest could use the lobby restroom. I would have been a registered guest with a room if they had adequate staffing. I literally had to argue with the woman on duty to allow me to use the bathroom since I had to return to my vehicle to sleep. Marriott? Not. I checked out after getting some rest finished my week stay at another hotel just across the street. Better price and better service. But since I am and always will be a Marriott guest, a month later I came back. I reserved for three nights. I always arrive early in the morning and this time I arrived at 3:30 am. The front desk was downloading it's computer so again, I had to wait for service.... Instead of booking my three night reservation I was told to book for one night then rebook the rest of my stay the next morning. The next morning I was advised the hotel was completely sold out and I would not be able to complete my reservation. Asking for management only made the situation worse. All kinds of excuses but no customer service. No accountability. No accommodation. In 30 years I have never called corporate but I had to this time. Then, the general manager started backtracking. Then a room became available, she moved some things around. 30 minutes later too many excuses later... no thank you. I was told I had half hour to vacate the room or I would be charged an additional day as a threat against me contacting the corporate office. To make matters worse, the same general manager modified my folio receipt to make it appear I was checked in for 3 days/2 nights although I was only there 8.5 hours. How was it resolved? Not with more service but with more excuses. I went to a Hilton and finished my reservation. Better price better service and the tvs work. If you are reading this you have been warned. This property does not operate at Marriott level standards. Go anywhere else if you want to be treated like a paying guest.

GGuest UserAfter a very sunny day at the beach, we were happy to get to the hotel. The front desk staff was very pleasant and they offered a choice of cookies as a small welcome. We chose oatmeal cookies and were surprised by how delicious they were. As a tea drinker, I was also happy to see an excellent choice of Bigelow teas in the lobby. Our suite was very comfortable, with a living room that was separate from the bedroom. Everything was simple and comfortable and very clean. Breakfast buffet was included, and is served on weekends til 10:30. This helped us have a relaxing morning. The choices were quite typical, but somewhat more variety than is often the case (waffles, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereal, bacon, sausage, etc). More important, the scrambled eggs tasted fresh and delicious, the muffins also tasted fresh and delicious, the orange juice tasted especially good, and I was again happy to have a choice of teas made with hot water that was in a container that was not previously used for coffee. (If that sounds like an odd statement, you probably are not a tea drinker.) We never stayed at a Country Inn and Suites before, and now we will again.

GGuest UserThe Hampton Inn & Suites in Annapolis is by far the friendliest and with the most helpful staff. Our recent stay was very relaxing and we were constantly surprised by the staff, they were always around to provide assistance. After I had entered our room I was holding the room door open waiting for my wife when a staff member stopped to inquire if I was having problems with the door and offered to prop it open for my wife. Then the next morning when my wife (mobility challenged) went to get her breakfast in the breakfast lounge she dropped a piece of food from the buffet tray and immediately a staff member was there to clean-up, followed by a Hampton Inn staff member deliver her assembled meal to the room for her. Stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Annapolis for a pleasant experience.

GGuest UserI have so many great things to say about the service I received at this hotel. It was amazing. The rooms were newly renovated and they are very spacious. It had that newly carpet smell. The foyer of the hotel was really nice. My husband and I had the chance to watch the Super Bowl in our on little cubicle and we were assisted with fabulous drinks 🍹 from the bar from Taylor and Pam. I wanted Baylis with my coffee and Taylor NAILED it. When I first checked in, Rochelle was very kind and approachable. She made sure that I had extra towels and feather free pillows. Basically, she matched our energy. We laughed and joked until I knew that this was the place for the next 7 days. The gym was very clean and they had new machinery. I usually don’t use the hotel gym but it had everything I needed along with the cleanliness. My husband had a lot to say about the staff as well. He enjoyed conversing every morning with the cook Diana. He said her burritos were to live for. He was excited every morning to eat his freshly made breakfast. If you were thinking about staying here, think no longer! It’s the place to stay in Annapolis. Oh, last but not least when I was checking out I met the GM and it was indicative that The Apple 🍎 don’t fall far from the tree!” Her staff was marvelous due to them having a great leader. Thanks Courtyard Staff for making our stay one to remember!!!

GGuest UserThis is the type of hotel my 21 year old college self and friends would have rented for a beach getaway. My mature adult self regrets staying here as a last minute decision on a one day trip to Annapolis and I wish we had driven back home and saved the money. Pros: Staff was friendly, location isn't too far off main road and there is a Dunkin Donuts nearby. Cons: Dirty, old, last updated in 1980s, maybe eary 1990, judging by the cabinets in bath and kitchen. Dusty desk/table chairs hadn't been wiped down in months; chipped bathroom cabinets, dirty carpet, two lights didn't work in our room, no stove light, peeling paint, tears in the sofa, had to ring bell for desk staff that took 5-10 mins to show up at check-in. The ”breakfast included” is a joke - it was instant oatmeal and granola bars. They told me grab and go for breakfast so I expected something like donuts, muffins, egg/sandwiches to heat in a microwave - nope; just granola bars and instant oatmeal. Coffee was horrible, hot tea was available and hot chocolate but no other drink options. It was summer and already hot at 8am so if you didn't want a hot drink you were out of luck at breakfast. The building is designated as smoke free but the very long winding hallway we walked through reeked of smoke. There was one pillow per side of the bed; as a family of 4 that means we had one flat pillow each. It was a horrible night sleep with a loud a/c running. Couldn't get out of there fast enough in the morning.

GGuest UserMy family and I reserved a room here for a family wedding taking place in the area. Upon arrival at the hotel, we noticed the check-in counter area and the elevator were dirty and looked like they had not been swept/vacuumed in days. When we got to our room there was an overwhelming stench like old stale cigarettes. The counter in the bathroom was stained and damaged and there was only one half-empty roll of toilet paper with no extras on hand. Having severe asthma, within about 30 minutes of being at the hotel I began to experience shortness of breath due to lingering cigarette odors. When we left the hotel to get dinner we heard people fighting in the lobby, threatening to have people ”locked up”. Between the health issues I was having and feeling unsafe there with our two children, we promptly decided to check out of the hotel. This hotel needs a complete renovation to rid itself of the years of cigarette odors, I do not recommend this hotel at all.
