Over all decent property on a great location, internet was not good and on the ground floor corridor was quite smelly… over all apart from These two experience was a good one.

The service in Bhutan is actually quite good, but this Le Méridien is very frustrating. When I arrived, no one helped me with my luggage. I went to the front desk last night to reserve a take away breakfast for this morning, but when I went in the morning, they said it was not available and asked me to wait. I couldn't wait even if I had an early flight. 😅 The service is far worse than other hotels in Bhutan.

We liked Le Meridien Paro and it is a well run hotel. It was perhaps half full when we were there: about 75 guests. It has a nice setting on the river. The room was clean and comfortable. Like many high-end Asian hotels, it has a window from the bathroom to the room. We closed it off, but whenever someone turns the light on at night it shines through the translucent panels, potential awakening your partner. A dark shade as they had in Thimphu would help. We had a comfortable bed, couch and desk area and there was good WiFi. The bathroom had both a tub and separate shower. We ate dinner and breakfast twice in the second floor dining room. At the end of our time in Bhutan we were tired of buffets. Certainly they offered to prepare whatever you want but the offerings weren’t the best. Breakfast was cooked to order, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. All in all an excellent hotel for western tourists. Hotels of this caliber are super expensive in Bhutan. You won’t find Bhutanese staying here.

The service provided was very much homely and satisfying. The F&B staff Ms Tika Maya Ghalley has been a very good companion to provide excellent service. As well as Ms Jigme Choden for her polite and professional approach to make us feel comfortable.

If u r going to just for a brand name then pls just hold on this is not like le meridien like in our India, their hospitality is awesome, but here no way I give them for just 1 star, room is good, but if I talk about food, then oh my God our street vendors are too good while they r called chef their self, I had stay two days there, just once I got good breakfast just only poori bhaji, I m happy if I get just one option but in dinner terrible food. This is my opinion rest u r intelligent. But I never book.

The place is just as majestic as the county it is in. The place smells heavenly, rooms are spacious beautiful and have a mesmerising view of river Paro. The rooms are so concealed that you can literally completely be okay inside while it being -2 degrees outside. The staff so courteous and well trained that they attend you as soon as you look at them. The best spa experience is guaranteed at this place, the beds are heated and the therapists are well trained, the food, ambience, location, view and structure all is worth experiencing.
