Stayed here for 3 nights. Room was clean, good mattress, coffee facilities and a gym which was huge and very well equipped. The restaurant staff were exceptional and even made me special dishes that they thought I might like. Food was usually a set meal, driven by the tastes of the majority of guests, so there was Indian food for at least 2 nights. I have to mention however that the huge issue at this hotel is the *&*&#(*& barking dogs. While it's a feature of most hotels in Bhutan especially around Paro, this place has at least 2 dogs that live next door and they yap constantly all night. Bring earplugs, I'm so glad I did. If I didn't have earplugs I would have given it 2 stars.

I recently had the best staycation with my friends at Shomo Resort. The staff provided us with a warm, cozy room that was perfect for the chilly weather in Paro. The rooms were lovely, equipped with modern amenities, and the view from the resort was absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful Paro Dzong and Taa Dzong. I highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again.

Excellent stay with great food, good room view and great service with hardworking staffs. Love the location as well. Highly recommend! And they put the guests first before themselves. They always smile and Great us making us feel warm at heart

Shomo Chuki is located in a nice part of Paro. It had the best food among the three hotels we stayed at—a mix of Bhutanese, continental, and Indian. The cook was also kind enough to prepare custom food for us the day lunch was over, as we arrived a bit late after the Tiger’s Nest climb. The rooms are nice, although there are no elevators, so you may want to request lower-floor rooms if you have knee issues. Our room didn’t have a great view, but the corridor overlooks beautiful paddy fields. Pigeons become very active at night above the rooms. Service was excellent, and everything is a short drive away, including Ecofarm with its hot stone bath experience. Great value for money.

New, clean and new to the business it seems. So there's good and bad. Clean is a plus. Buffet dinners are a bit Mish mash. Breakfast is great. If you are on the topmost floor and in 209 (or maybe other rooms) then you will need headphones with static on loop to cancel out the pressure pump noise. It will drive you crazy.

Brilliant location. Close to the airport and most locations. Peaceful, scenic and the perfect place to come back to after a days travel. Its superb. The rooms are Spacious and offer you the privacy thats needed. The Hot tub experience is also situated not far from here
