"Thank you to all the staff who made sure we were made to feel like special guests at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect overlooking the valley and only a short drive to the the dam which offers some spectacular views over the lake and perfect sunset views. Its a shame there wasn't more time to explore the area. You really are in nature up here...
The room was large and bright with panoramic views and the jacuzzi with a view is a nice touch.
Also thanks to Chia who provided with tips of things to do and see in the area.

"The staff were all polite and helpful at all times. The hotel is very tired and needs a complete refurbishment, reception area which gives first impression was poor. All furniture is chipped, scratched just not inviting at all. Our room was spacious and bedding very clean, door lock needs attention, it’s difficult to lock as the barrel is loose. The pool outside our room had many tiles missing and the main pool had been patched up in an amateurish fashion. The hotel sign in the grounds has a letter missing. A lack of investment all round.
The hotel did arrange a tour on the lake for us which was beautiful and I thank them for that. Beware this hotel is not in the area for regular tour pick ups so you may struggle to get on any organised tours."

"For a couple of days to see the sights, this is a great choice at a reasonable price. We stayed in the national park more than once, we have seen more interesting hotels, but also more expensive. Khao Sok and Cheow Lan themselves are the pearls of Thailand. We recommend!"

"Quiet isolated location met expectations. The price tag seemed justified considering the amenities provided.
First and foremost, the air conditioning system was functional just, adding to the aircon challenges, the lack of insulation exacerbated the heat
Television enthusiasts, beware! The TV signal was virtually non-existent, rendering any hopes of entertainment futile. For those seeking a digital detox, this might be a blessing in disguise, but for most, it's a disappointing setback.
Moreover, the resort's remote location proved to be a logistical challenge. Situated far from civilization, guests are left dependent on their vehicles or taxis to venture anywhere beyond the confines of the property. Be aware a bus or van from Surat Thani to Khao Sok national park does not come near the property. Double check your bookings in and out and I would not recommend any tight time schedules to the airport.
However, amidst these shortcomings, one saving grace was the kindness of the staff. Despite the challenges, the staff remained courteous and accommodating, striving to mitigate the shortcomings of the establishment. The staff arranged all my transport albeit a little haphazardly.
In conclusion, while the remote resort boasts a serene ambiance and amiable staff, the isolation in transport terms would require a traveler with vehicle.
It is 5km from the dam and daily boat tours on the extensive lake amid magnificent karysts. Warning do not swim in the lake it's heavily polluted with sewerage."

"The room is clean, there is a swimming pool, near food sources, you can borrow the maid's motorbike to go shopping.
There is also a car service to take you to Cheow Lan Dam, 300 baht per trip, can seat 10 people.
Breakfast on the day I went, there was coffee, pork buns, fried dough sticks, cookies, but they ran out a bit early (the day I went, it rained in the morning, so it's understandable). Overall, it's okay."

"I made a mistake booking this hotel. I didn’t realize where it was at, but that was my fault, but it turned out to be really good for going to the lake 10 minutes away. The service at the front desk was phenomenal the young lady and young man that worked the front desk were very, very nice. They took care of everything I needed and they were super friendly. I can’t say enough about them, especially the young man at the front desk!"

GGuest UserThe location is stunning and the staff are polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and the showers quite good. There seems to be a 2-3 hour outing organized once a day, and you can always go kayaking or swimming. The food is good and reasonably priced considering the location, but the menu isn’t extensive. Would be nice if there was a masseuse, but maybe it’s too small to support one. Highly recommend for a 2-4 night stay.

GGuest UserToo little space for 6 people. The bathroom has mold. Leaking toilet pipe In front of the room that says you can eat grilled pork, but there is no shelter from the rain. Eat in the rain. There are stray dogs that come and dig up the garbage to eat grilled pork, making loud noises at night. Because the hotel told us to leave the pan in front of the room where we eat. I didn't bring anything in because the room was very small and in fact my suitcase was already full. The entrance to the night school is quite dark and the road is not very good. Must have a car to enter. But the parking lot is dirt. There are a lot of black ants entering the car. Be careful of red ants on the floor. The real thing is not quite like the picture, but the view is beautiful. If you like beautiful views, like experiencing nature and tranquility. You can come.
