GGuest UserThis hotel has one of the best locations among all the hotels in the area. It’s right next to supermarkets and restaurants, and just across the bridge is the Church of the Good Shepherd — all of which are easily reachable on foot. Once you arrive, there’s no need to drive anywhere, which is incredibly convenient.
The only downside was the poor soundproofing. Even in the early hours of the morning, we could still hear people talking and laughing outside, which affected our sleep.
That said, the location more than makes up for it, especially if you’re looking for a place within walking distance of everything.

AAnonymous UserPretty good, with parking available. The self-check-in system is perfect for introverts. You can enjoy stargazing right from the courtyard at night. Although the Church of the Good Shepherd is a bit of a walk (around 1.2km), the hotel's surroundings are also very beautiful.

JjhoannaWe booked late, arrived even later but check in was so simple with a code for the digital door lock. A newly built residence, well appointed for families with 4 bedrooms, parking for 2 vehicles, very warm and cosy. Another plus, Two living areas so kids can settle and watch tv or play games in one whilst adults socialise in the main living area. Plenty of heating, plenty of blankets, no-one was cold. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserLike the location of being just few mins away from the shops and the church. Easy to find but better arrive before it gets dark to find the exact unit number.
Enjoyed cooking and the laundry with the necessities. WiFi, Netflex all good but local tv doesn’t seem to work. Probably need to try harder to figure it out. Like the shower, water is hot and with good pressure. Electric blankets also available for the bed.
Need to be clear of how to do the rubbish recycle though and reserve enough time before the check out to do all the dishes.

Everything was clean.
There was ample heating.
Relatively near the main tekapo area (1 min drive).
House was spacious.
Cons:
The wifi password was handwritten badly and it was a guessing game to get the password. Also uncontactable via email.
No barricade around the house and there’s other houses right next door. People could walk by your room / house windows and peer in. Which was what happened to me twice. Zero privacy unless curtains are fully drawn.

And the bathroom sink and kitchen drain don't drain well.
When I brush my teeth or wash my face, the water doesn't drain well and gets stuck.
I slept warmly because there was an electric blanket. When it was hot during the day, the air conditioner worked well. The staff were friendly. The proximity to Lake Tekapo, the supermarket, etc. was great. It was great to see the stars at night :-))

욱욱진The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but the view of the sky and stars from the table in front of the house was breathtaking.
It was also incredibly warm while I slept!!
If you're only planning to sleep in the room, I recommend Hunter Hunter.

2200177****The hotel is in an excellent location, just across the road from Lake Tekapo. The hotel is an old house with history. There are also some landscape photos hung in the living room. The most distinctive thing is the lamp, which has a pull-string switch, which gives it a sense of age. Staying in a hotel feels like home. The waiter on duty that day was a young man who could speak Chinese. What is commendable is that they respect the privacy of the guests very much, maintain enthusiasm and an appropriate distance, and make people feel very comfortable. A perfect night, as impressive as the beautiful scenery, hope to come again.
