Amazing
CCeline CSYThe host was really nice and the amenities are great, the blanket was also so fluffy. The whole vibe was cozy and I would definitely love to stay here again if given the chance to.
They also provide free shuttle service to the JR Takayama station in the morning at 7:15, 8:15, 9:15.
AAnonymous UserA wonderful experience. Our stay at this ryokan made us thankful that we decided to kickoff our holiday at Takayama and stay for 4D3N! Everything was impeccable. From the service of their team, the cleanliness of their accommodation (& of your luggage and shoes!) and the breakfast spread served. My first time sleeping on futon beds and it was comfortable. Also especially love that they have both private bath and public onsen, and complimentary use of washing and drying machines (detergent is chargeable but affordable). Not forgetting that the place is also very conveniently located near the train and bus station. Really enjoyed our stay!
EEsmond EeI like the hotel layout as a conventional tradition building as compared to those high rise buildings. Woods structure gives homely feels. The services staff are polite and proficient in English which is very helpful when I approached them for service. The bus shuttle service from hotel to town area/ bus n train terminals provides much needed convenience for hotel guests to move around.
GGuest UserI traveled with my family and had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The parking is conveniently located right under the hotel, which was a huge plus. The staff were great, and the facilities were just right for our needs. We were close to three shopping malls, making it easy to explore. I also enjoyed going for a morning run, and the location was perfect for that. Highly recommend this hotel for families!
GGuest UserNice place just in front of Takayama station. The room was clean and spacious. We also have the so-called happy hours when you can eat at the hotel's canteen for free (drinks and curry rice)
BblablablacksheepThe Maps lead us to further location And imagine we had passed the building like 3times back and forth but didn’t know that was it. Pls update the location on the maps here on trip. Room is ok, no shower room no big issue coz we go to onsen anyway. Got buffet dinner and breakfast. But receptionist didn’t update the breakfast cut off time is 8:45am and we reach there by 8:50 its already closed. One thing about japanese onsen resort is that they will close everything in the morning to prevent customer to fully utilise the facilities for what we paid for. We usually rest on the evening the day we arrive and only use the facilities in the morning. Not really recommended here coz they really scare their customer use the facilities😂
WWinson ElonVery satisfying experience
The hotel is indeed far from the village and far from the shops, but the hotel is very cozy
One night and two meals are also good
The outdoor hot spring is very good
The only bad thing is that most of the staff don't speak English well
In short, I highly recommend it
By the way, get off at Nohi Bus H57
DDaniela888Amazing onsen hotel. We really loved our stay here. Located just a short bus ride away from Hirayu Onsen Town, the village is even more beautiful and serene.
The food for dinner and breakfast was fresh, varied and super tasty. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The common areas were super inviting and the staff very friendly and helpful.
It was super easy to use the private onsen. No reservation needed - first come first served - and there was 4 of them so you would not need to wait long to get an opportunity to use it. The hot baths both inside and outside were the perfect temperature and quite scenic in the middle of the trees.
Would love to go again in the future.
DDuboisTristanThis place was absolute amazing! By far our favorite place from our whole trip. The location was absolutely perfect for the Takyama festival. We were literally right there with shops and street vendors 50 yards away and the parades would have been right there as well if they weren't canceled due to rain. The rooms were humble and traditional and really added to the experience. The tea in the room was exceptionally good and the traditional Japanese breakfast they served was also delicious and fun to eat. We didn't even know they had a legitimate hot spring on site, but they did! They are Japanese style baths so be ready for that, but the water was therapeutic and so relaxing. I cant recommend this place enough and I would absolute make it a point to visit Takyama and stay here again for a few days on our next trip to Japan. They were such great kind hosts. And I cant believe the price, what an great value. Do yourself a favor and stay here. I'm not sure why the other bad reviews are here I read some of them and they sound like entitled stupid American tourists so ignore them and stay here.
