Amazing
YyeoGreat stay at a Japanese bed and breakfast style accomodation. Owners are an elderly Japanese couple who speaks average English but we get by. Free transport to and fro ski slopes even though they are a 1.2 km walk away from Akakura Onsen main street. Owner was also kind enough to drive us to the train station for our rest day from snowboard. Breakfast was great! Room had attached toilets and were super clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Will stay here again next time I come to Myoko Kogen
TTaesunIt's in a great location for skiing, the rooms are spacious, and the food is plentiful and delicious.
However, it is a bit disappointing that meal time is limited.
YYUIn the old resort hotel, the waiter has a kind of old-fashioned and honest devotion. In order to book dinner, he called me five or six times to arrange and confirm. Because the hotel is halfway up the mountain, every meal I ate at the hotel. I ate French, shabushabu and Italian, and the standard was good. Hotel hot spring is the best hot spring in Japan in recent years. Akakura Sightseeing Snow Resort also feels more ancient and wild, and has a unique flavor.
EEdmund PWProperty is set in a very quiet and peaceful environment. Very clean and modern. Well maintained after its renovation. There are plenty of free parking space.
Room is big but unfortunately without shower/bath - a big negative for the property. There are two common showers for the whole hotel which must be busy during peak seasons. I recommend the hotel especially during off peak season when you can use the public showers. Otherwise you have to use the bathing facilities in the onsen.
AAnonymous UserHotel has good heating so perfect for winter stay. Nice fireplace area and nice holding area before stepping out into the cold. The hotel is down a hill from the main thoroughfare. A bit slippery downhill when it becomes icy. Run like a hotel so maybe a bit cold compared to a bed and breakfast. Onsen bath seems a bit dirty with things floating in there compared to other hotels we stayed at. We needed to move to another hotel which is 2km away and the guy offered to drive us there for 2000 yen! Just 1 luggage each and no skis. So on the whole just cold. Breakfast was 1000 yen seemed simple so we skipped and opted to eat in town instead. Probably won't stay there again.
GGuest UserVery pleasantly surprised, each room has a separate floor heating, warm but not dry, the room is very new, there is a special ski drying room and waxing place, very professional, the hotel is a few minutes drive from the spot tail snow field, the hotel has a free car transfer. The key boss and the proprietress are super good. The boss is Japanese but the Chinese is very good. The skiing is very good. It can take classes and do guide skiing. The proprietress is a Chinese girl. She is super hospitable and cooks good dishes. It is rare to eat Chinese taste in Japan. I am so touched, and I check out on the return trip. In the event of heavy snow delay, did not catch the plane, the proprietress remotely helped solve the problem, in short, five-star recommendation!
GGuest UserI was surprised because there is only wifi near the front desk, but it was good to be able to cut off my smartphone. Due to the deep snow, the truck got addicted to the inn and the return was late.
YYeungA real friendly hotel with stunning view. Excellent services with nice and friendly staff to help around. I will definitely recommend to others if they are going to travel here. highly recommend to all kinds of travellers who enjoy good services and good mountain view. Simply in love with it very much. enjoy and thanks.
DDaotianyouziThe room was very well cleaned.
I was able to sleep soundly without being bothered by any noise from the surrounding rooms.
It was the end of the year and it was very cold outside in snowy country, but it was warm inside the hotel.
We were able to use the large public bath until 2am, which was very appreciated.
The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and we enjoyed it at our leisure. It was delicious.
