The inn is located under the Tusi Bridge in Furong Town, beside the Bai Shui Tan. It is about 50 meters away from the big waterfall. Surrounding it are small bridges, flowing water, deep waterfalls, cliff-style sloping houses. Everywhere is a beautiful scenery. The inn was transformed from a century-old old house that integrates the styles of nature and originality, local customs and gentry, ethnic culture and the Republic of China era. The culture of the gentry of the Republic of China and the simple and wild Xiangxi culture are very rich. It recreates the Xiangxi world described by Shen Congwen, being rough yet exquisite, aged yet refined, profound yet leisurely.

"Tv did not work in my room, was moved to another one for a night while they fixed it. However tv didn’t work there either. Wifi is poor as well. The service was great tho. I was gifted tea for the inconveniences and the room was cleaned with fresh water and towels daily. In my experience, I thought the hot water was broken, turns out it just needs 10 minutes before it gets warm, same with the sink. View from the hotell is superb. And the breakfast you get, noodles with coffee, tea, fruits and bread was an excellent start to any day. I would recommend the place, but not for extended periods of time, you should also lower your expectations a bit from what is showed on the site."

"For me the place was perfect: very close to the drop off point from taxis, so you don't have to walk for too long with the luggage, and walking distance from everywhere - the town is really small.
Lili and the staff were super kind and helpful with everything. They also arranged a car to drive me back to the station.
Maybe the only improbable thing is that they could share arrival information once they accept the booking: to access the ancient town you need to pay 108 yuan and many people arriving didn't know. This is not to sleep in the hotel, it's just to access the town, so everyone has to do it.
But for me it's been great!"

"I highly recommend this lodge ...recently renovated best location to the waterfall stunning view ...despite how small the Lodge is the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The hotel manager is very helpful, booked my entrance ticket and met me there , arranged my free transport from the subway to the lodge, helped me with my luggage both on the way in and the way out . Definitely consider booking there."

"An absolutely fantastic guesthouse, perfectly located right at the entrance to the scenic area, so we didn't have to drag our luggage far. The owner was incredibly kind and even picked us up from the high-speed rail station. The room was spacious, ideal for families traveling with children. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and a perfect temperature. And the view from our window was absolutely stunning. Sitting on the balcony was incredibly relaxing, and we had a very comfortable one-night stay. Thanks again to the owner for driving us back to the high-speed rail station. We'd love to come back and stay again if we have the opportunity. The bridge photo shown was taken right from our room."

"This is an unbeatable accomodation in Furong ancient town. Situated right on the waterfall next to the bridge, it’s such a beautifully central stay. It’s right next to the main bridge that overlooks the scenic area, and a 5min walk to the waterfall view points. The rooms are a gorgeous wooden design, complete with a modern bathroom, and amenities. The owner was kind enough to contact me and arrange free transport from the train station, and a discounted entry ticket into the town (90 RMB, payable upon hotel arrival). I had booked a large single room but was given a different one with two beds, odd but alright. Be aware the town is vibrant at night and music/karaoke only stops at 10:30pm."

"This one need to walk down the stone pedestrian road, no lifts but staff try to make out to this by helping us with our luggage, they provide free pick up from the HSR station, once we enter the room the view is mesmerizing really glad we chose this hotel, breakfast was soup noodle which the broth is delicious and seated right beside the window breeze with nice view from the streams"

"This was an excellent stay. The location is central and just next to the river where everything happens. The owner managing the place was amazing. He reminded us of the free pick up service and picked us up in the rain and carried out bags to the hotel. He pre-purchased our tickets and gave us valuable advice on what to see in the area. He gave us a room upgrade as it was off peak. The room was big, clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the river. Beds were comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!"

They provide a cost-effective accommodation environment with clean and hygienic rooms, good ventilation and lighting. Friends from all over the world are welcome to visit Furong Town!
"Hotel located less than 10 min by walk from the scenic spot. The owner can help you to book a ticket a day before your arrival to have it cheaper. Free laundry service and easy check-in and check-out with all the explanations.
Only one problem was a client who smoked in the room in the evening while I wasn’t there so the room was smelling cold smoke that I don’t like.
However, as the owner was off, a kind employee helped me to change room to avoid the smell to rest peacefully.
I recommend this hotel."

"This place was so clean and had a great location! It was around the corner from the entrance to furong ancient Town and there was also a coffee shop and supermarket near by. The owners took me to the train station for free too, I did try to add them on we chat to see if they could pick me up as i got into furong very late, but they didnt add me, luckily there were taxis outside 🙏😊 The lady is so friendly as took me straight to the ticket counter when I arrived!"

GGuest UserA very satisfying stay! The guesthouse was tranquil, the room was clean and tidy, and decorated warmly and elegantly. The bedding was comfortable, and I slept soundly all night. The host was warm and attentive, communicating about check-in details in advance and thoughtfully preparing a local breakfast. The location was also very convenient, within walking distance of the scenic area. Attention to detail was evident everywhere, such as earplugs and eye masks provided by the bedside. Excellent value for money, highly recommended, and I will definitely choose this place again next time!

GGuest UserAmazing stay with extremely kind and attentive service in a lovely wooden panelled room and a balcony perfect for drinking tea. They helped us to book discounted entry to Furong town. We were picked up from the train station in a free taxi and given free tea and locally grown oranges on arrival (even accomodating our early check-in). Plus helpful explanation of attractions and then breakfast also included. These ladies could not have done more to give us a great experience. Absolutely recommend!

Cleanliness: Spotless. Location & Amenities: The hotel is incredibly close to the scenic area. A great bonus is that you can purchase discounted attraction tickets from the lobby a day in advance. Facilities: Very well-equipped, and they even have robots delivering takeout! Thoughtful Touches: They also prepared complimentary welcome fruit in our room. Overall, it was an amazing experience! GGuest UserHonestly, this was one of the warmest hotel experiences I’ve had in China. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help me with everything — from prebooking the scenic area ticket (at a discount!) to arranging a smooth free pickup based on my train arrival time.
They even upgraded my room for free to one with a great mountain view. Throughout my stay, they helped me explore the area and even told me about the evening cultural show in the village — which was amazing, and I would’ve totally missed it if they hadn’t mentioned it.
In the morning, when I said I couldn’t eat pork, they quickly prepared a special noodle dish just for me and helped point out the other pork-free options. They also arranged my departure taxi without any hassle.
The location is great too — just a few minutes’ walk to the waterfall. Overall, such kind people and a genuinely pleasant stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is also great. It's on the side of the road and very close to the scenic spot. It's very convenient. You don't need to carry your luggage and walk far to the hotel.

GGuest UserDue to my elderly partner's mobility issues, the staff kindly arranged a first-floor room for us. The room was spotlessly clean, very hygienic, and comfortably dry. We really appreciated the complimentary station pickup, and the staff were incredibly warm and helpful, offering great tips about the local attractions. The location is excellent, close to the scenic area, and it was wonderfully quiet at night. We'll definitely be back and will highly recommend this place to our friends.

KKitKat555I really enjoyed staying here. Affordable price, great location and friendly, helpful service. The staff picked me up from the train station - he was waiting for me and communicates via wechat, he will help you buy your entry ticket to the scenic area on the way to the inn, he carried my 25kg suitcase up some stairs and wheeled it to my room. Room is as pictured / advertised but bonus that it has a western toilet too - very happy. The view is wonderful, feels like youre in the country village but less than 15min walk to the waterfall scenic area.
I arrived at 12.30pm and explore Furong for about 4hrs including lunch and watched x3 10min performances then went back to the inn for shower and rest. Went out again around 7pm for quick dinner and x2 night shows. The 9pm show in the theatre is really good. Make sure you carry your paper ticket at all times as theres many checkpoints - staff scan qr code on ticket. You can enter/exit as many times as you like within 3 days.
Do stay at a local homestay type place to support the residents here. Its a great experience and a nice change from hotels. Honest! Its also a great way to immerse yourself with the people when travelling through China.

My only complaints are the hot water doesn’t last long, and our included ride to the train station was over 30 minutes late. We made our train with 1 minute to spare, and only because our driver went 130km/hour to get us there in time!

VVaiFurong Ancient Town isn’t accessible by car in its main attraction area, as the town is beautifully built along a river that flows into a majestic waterfall. This B&B is perfectly located, about a 5-minute stroll from the main car park, and sits right next to the riverside.
Depending on the room you book, you may be treated to river views and even a partial view of the waterfall. We were lucky to have both. However, it’s worth noting that some inner rooms don’t have any views, so it’s best to confirm when booking.
The B&B also has a convenient adjoining restaurant. You can dine indoors or head up to the rooftop open-air seating area, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the town and river, perfect for a relaxed meal with a scenic backdrop.
Rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The owner is incredibly helpful. We arranged our arrival via Trip.com message chat, and he kindly waited for us at the Furong Railway Station to pick us up.
One thing to note, depending on your preferences, is the presence of bars nearby. There’s live music and a lively atmosphere in the evening, which can be a plus if you enjoy a drink or two with some music. However, if you value peace and quiet, the sound might be noticeable until it winds down around 11 PM. As with most ancient towns these days, nightlife has become part of the experience. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or consider booking a room away from the main area.
Overall, a great stay in an unbeatable location. Highly recommended!
