We stayed three miserable nights at Heartland Inn & Suites, and I can confidently say we’ll never be back. Our room was unbearably hot, well over 80°F the entire time. Not just warm,oppressive, stifling heat that made it impossible to relax, let alone sleep. And management’s solution? A couple fans. Not a different room. Not a refund. Not even a discount. Just a couple of box fans, as if that would make up for the fact that we were essentially camping indoors at full price. We paid premium rates expecting comfort and quality the basics you’d expect from the “nicest hotel” in the area. What we got was a sweatbox. Nowhere in the room description did it mention we’d need to retreat to our vehicle in the middle of the night just to cool down. That’s not hospitality,that’s failure. We paid for a service. The hotel failed to provide it. The lack of accountability or effort to make it right is unacceptable. Do better, Heartland Inn & Suites. You had every opportunity to turn this around, and you chose not to. Guests deserve better.

Bed exceptionally comfortable. ADA room size was more than useable with my power wheel chair. Bathroom was great! A lovely center room. Pool and hot tub great. Breakfast is exceptional! We have traveled extensively and this hotel is the most amazing of any mid-range hotels! We love staying in this hotel!

Here for 1 night only. Easy checkin and out. Our room was clean & quiet. There is NO Elevator. Only 2 floors. Large central open area for breakfast and some first floor rooms open to this area. Breakfast was normal fare. Eggs, sausage, pre made waggles, pancakes and other items. No toast, but other bread type items. Seems to be newly remodeled.

Clean facility, great service, and one of the best free breakfasts I have had at a hotel. The central courtyard is beautiful, providing a place to gather in a larger space than your room. Our room had a very comfy recliner in it. You can feel all of the local touches and care.

Stayed here with a few other couples for wrestling sections in mid February. The hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating to our group and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel had comfortable beds and a good hot breakfast.

Very clean. Friendly staff. good breakfast buffet. Right in the heart of Park Rapids. Had never been to Park Rapids before, cute town and nice accommodations. When we were there, pool was under renovation (not a problem for me). Looks nice. You probably want to check with the hotel to make sure that project is done if it is important to you..

Clean and comfortable rooms. Good value. Early morning breakfast with good coffee. Quiet and restful. I would not hesitate to stay at Heartland again. Keep up the good work. In addition, they made a nice dinner recommendation for us. We enjoyed the complete experience.

This facility and it's staff are excellent! I stayed here years ago when it was The C'mon Inn. The new ownership of this facility has done an outstanding job of improving this place. The staff is all about customer service which seems to be one of things that is going away these days. The room we had was extremely clean and the beds, and pillows, were without a doubt the most comfortable I've had at a hotel in years. The facility was spacious and spotless. The area where breakfast was served is very, very nice. Appointed beautifully and very spacious. They had a very nice variety of breakfast items and all were fresh and replenished quickly. This hotel is worth the price of admission. When back in the Park Rapids area there is no doubt where I will stay. Great job to the owners and their staff!
