Mama Shelter Paris East

Paris|0.22km from Suspendu Paris 20 Garden
my husband was keen to stay here as he'd had a great stay at Lyon Mama Shelter. What a let down Paris East was. The reception area is lovely - the bedrooms are fabulous. Check in was great and from there on it went downhill. We went downstairs and asked about the advertised roof terrace. Yes it's open but you have to order downstairs and take your own drinks upstairs . ok. first bottle of wine requested not available . 'sorry it's the bar man's day off ' no cocktails available ...not a problem as we don't drink cocktails . second and third wines also the server couldn't locate. eagle eyed husband spotted lots of Pinot Grigio in the fridge behind the bar. can we have that ? no ...it's on the Trattoria stock so we can't have it 🙈😩. look - we're in the hospitality business ourselves it's 5 pm and the trattoria opens at 7 ... but no we can't have it. off we go to the terrace with our wine . it looks untidy and unloved . back down we come to the terrace area to order dinner. the food was disgusting ! my salmon was inedible . my husbands steak was tough and also inedible . again the same problem ordering wine ...the white wine arrived warm . the lady on the table next to us agreed that her food was also terrible . cold jacket potato and overcooked fish. no one asked us what was the matter and £192.00 later charged for dinner we left never to return. all style - no substance ! we run restaurants in the UK and know what we're talking about 😳

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all!!!!! It’s horrendous however it’s reasonably cheap and the metro is very close by. The rooms were disgusting stains on bedding (sweat marks and other types of marks), rips in pillows, hair on pillows, and the list goes on and on. Bathroom very basic, a wet room, drain was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned. Beds were sponge! Not very comfortable at all. There was also a crack in one of the bunk beds and dust was everywhere on top bunks. The rooms do get cleaned and hoovered but they aren’t done very well clearly. I stayed here for 3 nights and I’m glad that was all, as I couldn’t have put up with this awful hotel for anymore time. The food was appalling and disgusting. Not much choice and not very French. Breakfast was okay though. A choice of croissant, bread, cereal, cake, yogurt and a few other things. However dinners were unacceptable the burger was rock solid! The last meal I ate here was chicken nuggets and chips and it was the best meal out of a bad bunch, however the chicken nuggets were overcooked and chip portion was ridiculous. If you are vegetarian or have food allergies good luck. If I were you take your own food or go out for dinner. Also when the dinner ladies were serving up food they were coughing and gaging, this is not hygienic!!!! How can u be coughing over the food whilst expecting customers to eat it. Whilst in the dinner haul I even saw a mice scurrying around the trays were you put your food once you have finished. This hotel should be shut down. This hotel was once a hospital and you can clearly see this and they have not done much to make it a nice hotel. I don’t know how this is rated a 3 star hotel!!! I would recommend not going here!!

We spent 2 nights on a family trip at Ibis during the Easter holidays. Hotel is located near to public transportation, good for those without a car. Parking at a price of €15 per night - The elevators from parking to the hotel were out of service, and we had to use the emergency stairway with exit to street, the doors kept opened, and unknown people use the stairs as bathrooms and some strangers literally urinate in the stairs, the smell is disgusting for 3 longs floors, in my case with kids to cross over this horrible experience. There is a breakfast option for €15 that includes very basic options, terrible! For two days there wasn't any cheese available, no cheese! The accommodation is very small for the standard and triple options (we had two rooms booked), the bathrooms need to be maintained urgently, and many poor repairs done. There is no mini bar available. Looks like a hostel!

I think it's good that breakfast is free. Frying pan, bread, cheese, ham, fruit, cereal I think it's also good that you can use the washing machine in the basement. The bad points are You can use the kitchen, but you have to go to reception to exchange your ID to use frying pans and pots, and there aren't many dishes The water in the shower is lukewarm Sometimes only water comes out I stayed in a 4-person room, but There are only 2 outlets in the room, one near the door and one in the center of the room, so if you want to charge your phone, You sometimes have to go to the charging area near the reception Also, the elevator sometimes stops working, and you sometimes have to use the stairs from the 7th floor to the reception WiFi sometimes gives an error on the login page and doesn't connect Sometimes the staff are extremely unfriendly

I stayed here for two nights. Close to the tram, with a metro station in front of the door, and shops within a radius of 100m. The room was spacious, bright and clean, as was the bathroom (bathroom with a big window, luxury!). The staff are welcoming and ready to help. There is an iron luggage locker. I will come back during the next stay! Thank you!
Ibis Paris Nation Davout

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it. Although the hotel is located quite far from the city centre it has got plenty transportation options to get there, the closest and fastest is underground but also you can get buses and trams. If you are hungry there are many restaurants and bars around but the breakfast is served at the hotel with a selection of bread, cheese, hams and milk or joghurts, etc. Room was tiny but enough for a couple, it was clean and there were towels, soap and shower gel provided in the bathroom, as well as the hairdryer. Staff very nice and welcoming. We do recommend this hotel, for this price is worth of trying. Remember to pay City tax on the arrival, we paid 15euro for 4 nights for 2 people.
