Hotel Louis II

The location and environment are very good; The room is small, but fully functional and very thoughtful; The hotel’s security management is in place, with an access control system and people on duty. Toiletries are also very good. Although the breakfast is simple, it is very good among the many four-star European hotels without breakfast. The meal reception time at 10:30 is very convenient for travellers. Will definitely book this hotel again next time.

The room was clean and tidy. The waiter on the day of check-in said that there was no luggage storage. We thought we had to take the luggage when we left the hotel. Fortunately, we asked the staff that there was still luggage storage service! Would recommend to friends and family to book.

This hotel is on a quiet street yet only steps away from the Boulevard St. Germain and the Odeon metro stop. It has been very cleverly designed so that all rooms have balconies and are spacious enough with adequately sized and equipped bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the water hot in the shower, though for some strange reason not in the basin. The staff were helpful and polite and we were able to leave. our luggage there on the last day without any problem.

Fabulous location and a very pretty little hotel. Room on the small side, but perfectly adequate for the 4 nights we stayed here and cleaned daily. Staff on the whole, very friendly. My only complaint was that my booking included breakfast and this was paid for in advance. When we checked out, we were charged for this, even though I showed the staff member my booking which clearly stated breakfast WAS included. As it was an early morning checkout and we needed to get to the airport, I didn't have the time to take it further.
Hotel de Fleurie

I booked this hotel through Crystal Travel following excellent reviews. Shortly before my visit, I noted a more recent review referring to bugs. I contacted the hotel direct prior to travel and was assured that any problem had been completely eradicated. Unfortunately this was not the case and I was bitten by bed bugs on my last night. I drew the bites to the attention of hotel staff who suggested I write to the hotel for compensation. I would note that the people working at the hotel were extremely pleasant and helpful and this criticism is not directed at them. The hotel director acknowledged my complaint and the assurance I had received and offered me an upgrade on any future visit. When I said I did not consider this adequate, he explained that the price I paid was already significantly reduced on pre-Covid rates and, as the booking agent took a commission, if I were to receive any refund the hotel would not make any profit. I subsequently spoke to Crystal travel who spoke to the hotel on my behalf with no greater success or offer of refund of their commission. The hotel itself is ideally situated and more than adequate for a short break in Paris. Were it not for the attitude of the hotel director I would have happily stayed there again once it was clear that they no longer had a problem with bed bugs. As it is, I consider the attitude to be the opposite of good customer service and very disappointing indeed.
