District Republique

For a quick 3-night stay in Paris, this hotel was a nice place to relax. It can be a little bit hard to find since the outside looks more like the entrance to an office building, and it's along a narrow road where there are most cafés than there is housing. However, when you enter, you are greeted to very kind staff that can speak English (so, don't fret English-speakers!) and they offer their guidance on how to have the best vacation possible. I didn't try their breakfast, but from what I could see, their eating area was pretty compact where roughly 20 people could eat at a time. I also saw fruit and bread, but nothing much beyond that. I'd say it's better to eat out for breakfast if you want more distance and variety. My room was on the first floor, and it had one bed that could fit two people. Just like the breakfast area, it was compact with the essentials, and it's definitely suited for a vacation where all you need out of a bedroom is to go right to sleep. The TV was good, but there was only one English-speaking channel that I could find: CNN. Not that it factors into my rating, this part is simply to inform. The bed was soft, the shower and toilet were functional, and no air conditioning (but that's Europe, in general). I also requested my room to be clean at 8 in the morning, and by the time I returned from my adventures, it STILL wasn't clean. The housekeeper came by at 2pm to ask if I wanted my sheets changed, just as I was going to take my afternoon nap. That's a very long wait, and I wasn't in the mood to leave my room and wait for him to be finished, so I turned him away. I'd say waiting so long to clean a room that was personally requested to be checked on is my biggest complaint with this hotel. My vacation was wonderful, and this hotel was just good enough to give me a good night's rest. But, for those interested in staying here, keep in mind that it is a minimalistic location. Do not expect fancy bedrooms or food during your stay. Doesn't make it bad, but it's important to spend 90% of your day outside and come back here for the remainder.

Pigalle
I stayed here with my sister during our holiday in Paris and I can say I was very happy with the choice made! Two-step structure from Moulin Rouge and its metro, 10 minutes walk from MontMartre , a spacious area, open mainly at night, a starbucks in front of the metro stop, then brewery, poke, hamburger, locals for all tastes + a large supermarket (also exactly at the out of the metro). Reception h24 - a little date structure, small stairs and a little uncomfortable but essential room, small, a small closet and a mirror, but for the location and price, for two girls is super recommended! I never had the feeling of being in a bad area, at the evening of a full-fledged, but quiet, and not new, but also here, for the price it is fully presentable and useable. The only sin (which was not a problem for us) is that at night it is not a quiet area, just not having light sleep problems and nothing to revert. The phone and telecommand of the TV are to be requested at the reception. As far as we are concerned, super recommended!

Le Marais
The hotel is located in the very modern and safe Le Marais and it’s very easy to get to. There is a Metro Station just across the road (Saint Paul) where you can easily get to all locations within Paris. We were welcomed by the fabulous Gwendolyn who from the get go really enhanced our stay with her cheery chatty personality. She was like our own tour guide, full of recommendations and advice on getting around Paris. For our first time here, we couldn’t have asked for better service. We were upgraded to a larger room, one that included a bath and views of the side streets. We stayed in room 45 and found the room to be perfect for our visit. Large comfy bed, mini fridge, bath tub and toilet which is in its own room. We found the open bath tub to be quite funny and added to the romance of our Parisian stay! There is a small lift just big enough for a person and suitcase but again if we’re spending a trip exploring the city you get used to climbing the stairs! A continental breakfast was included in our stay which included a variety of fresh pastries and bread, with a range of condiments. There is also fresh juice and a hot drinks machine. It was a great little start to our days of exploring the city. When coming and going from the hotel, you leave your room key at the front and there is someone working there 24/7. There’s a supermarket across the road to get any extra supplies and you’re close to lots of lovely shops, restaurants, bars and coffee houses. A very modern and trendy area. I suggest getting the Metro travel card which can be pre loaded for 1 or 2 days. It’s a cheap way of having unlimited travel when out and about. I would highly recommend staying here at Hotel Emile and booking directly through their website. Thank you again to Gwen for being so amazing.
Villa M

We were in Paris celebrating our friends 50th, and we wanted a fancy rooftop dinner to end the stay. We were trying to get into Gigi-but ridiculous booking rules applied, and Villa M allowed us to book easily, and normally. Villa M did not disappoint! The food was excellent as were the cocktails. We had some delicious cocktails, which were brought by fun waiters -one resembling Ben Affleck! Really great staff & hosts! Service was great - friendly & fun -with 3 smashes! ;-) The rooftop has the best vibe, so chilled but classy, and the view of the tower was AMAZING! Perfect spot! Would come here again, and would definitely recommend to everyone !
Hôtel Mercure Paris Opéra Louvre

Old style hotel which i liked, room was clean and comfortable bed and good shower but that is where the good ended. Location is not the best, not many restaurants around, quite a walk to the Louvre. Be aware there is a tiny lift but there are more stairs on each floor to negotiate with suitcases. I am loyal to Accor and feel as a gold member I received zero benefits. Room was not ready at 3pm (2pm check in) and had to wait with no chairs to sit on, no welcome drink offered, probably the worst room in the hotel, booking said city view instead we had a lovely view of an internal wall and windows on the 3rd floor, incredibly difficult to get a 1 hour late check out, constantly fobbed off to next shift, when finally granted the cleaners kept coming in so we gave up and left. Staff were unwelcoming and generally unhelpful. Felt as if I might have just walked in off the street instead of spending a lot of money this year in Accor hotels, in fact most of the Ibis hotels we used had better rooms and staff. Definitely better hotels in Paris
Au Pacific Hotel

From the moment we stepped into Au Pacific hotel we felt comfortable and catered for. All staff were accommodating and willing to assist. Our room had a (small) but amazing view of the Eiffel Tower which was very unexpected, so we were very happy! The triple room was spacious and everything we needed, two small balconies on both sides of the building. Conveniently located a few minutes walk to Dupleix metro station, and an easy 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Very impressed with the assistance at the end of our stay where a member of staff organised for our airport transfer which made the process stress free. We had a wonderful 2 nights at this central and safe accommodation. Would highly recommend and wish we had more time.
