The location is good and the price is not bad, but I had a really absurd experience.
I took a shower with the shower curtain closed, but the water splashed and the bathroom floor got wet.
The building right below was old and had a crack in the ceiling, so water leaked.
They asked us to pay 300 euros for the repairs.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. It is comfortable, offers breakfast and is in a great location, near the Metro, a park, Sacre Coeur and Monmartre. The reason I return is that the staff is always, friendly and helpful. There is always someone at the front desk willing to answer questions. The simple French breakfast is very convenient. The price is very reasonable. I first went alone and have returned with family members and friends. They don't even advertise the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower from the 6th floor room:)

We spent one night in this hotel due to its proximity to the Eurostar station. Positives: Location is excellent. 5 minutes walk to Sacre-Coeur. 2 minutes to metro. 10 minutes walk to Moulin Rouge and Gare du Nord. Pleasant little park in the square over-looked by our room. Good shower. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Extra blankets if needed. Helpful staff. Kettle in room. Negatives: Bedroom very dusty. No bin in bedroom. Beds, although comfortable were very rickety. Thankfully, my husband and I were very tired from travelling, as I do not think they would have stood up to any nocturnal shenanigans. Although there was a kettle, there were no cups. I have looked up that it is normal for there to be no tea/coffee in 2* hotels in France, but giving a kettle with no cups seems to be taking the pee a bit. There was only one small bath towel and a hand towel when we arrived. The young man on reception rectified this straight away when I asked for another. I don't know if I would stay there again. It was not dreadful and it was clean enough once I dusted a bit. Maybe for a single night stay.

This hotel was in a perfect spot for us, and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was very cosy and nicely decorated, and we enjoyed starting our day in there with some coffee, crossaints and baguette. The staff were very helpful and were happy to speak English for us when we asked. We had 3 rooms for our family of 6, and all were on the fifth floor. The view to the street was fantastic. We could see the top of the Eiffel Tower, and to the right we could see Sacre Coeur Basilica. The square down below was a quiet and pleasant place to hang around too, and it was filled with locals enjoying their neighbourhood. Especially the older gents playing petanque each afternoon! This is an old building, so its rooms are small. But they are functional and we found them clean and comfortable. Heating was good and I'm sure in summer it would be great to open the windows and let the breeze in. It's an ideal location and I would stay here again.

I stayed at Hotel du Square d'Anvers with my husband. Room was tidy and the bed really confortable. Reception's staff friendly and helpful. Very close to the metro and Montmarte. Hotel du Square d'Anvers is a great destination for tourists.

Helpful and welcoming staff, great location, we came to visit the Parisian monuments, just a few steps from the Sacré Coeur, we really enjoyed this weekend in Montmartre. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic location, view of the Montmartre basilica from the balcony. Metro nearby and quiet neighborhood. Nice room, comfortable bed and heating on. Helpful staff and fair value for money. If it were a little renovated and more cared for/cleaned it would be top! Small elevator (but at least there is one) and unfortunately only one of three electrical outlets worked! But all in all I absolutely recommend it, if I return to Paris I will stay here again!
