Very small, very small, very bad attitude at the front desk, very bullying! There are people pulling on your door in the middle of the night, it’s scary! The bed felt like there were bugs or something, it was very itchy!

I stayed here with a group of students and adults for 4 nights. It was an OK hotel. I do not think that it merits 3 stars, but it was clean. Breakfast was included for us--a lovely spread. The hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. The room--I was in 528, but I had students in 527 and 529 as well. All rooms were clean and straightened daily. There was NO SAFE in the room; neither was there a refrigerator in the room. These were definite minuses in my eyes. Safes were available in the hotel lobby in the office. I did make use of them to store the students' passports for several days. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well, shower was very strong and hot water was plentiful. The location is truly great--VAVIN metro station is VERY close--there is a grocery store--open until at least 1:00am--as my students and I went there at that hour multiple times--just around the corner. If I were traveling on my own, I would not stay there again--I prefer a more quaint, Parisian atmosphere. This hotel is most definitely a chain hotel. It does lack in atmosphere, but the location is very good, rooms are clean, there is much to do in the surrounding area.

We stayed at Mercure Montparnasse Paris for four nights in June '15. We thought the price was great for the quality of hotel. Beautiful on the outside&inside. Staff was friendly and inviting. The lobby is very modern, with lots of life and color. Clean and refreshing. The rooms are just the same. A little on the smaller side which is typical for such great location hotels anywhere in Europe. Very clean. Really nice shower! Free WIFI. The location is PERFECT. Close to lots of restaurants, tourist attractions. We would come back here 100%. Loved it.

I have stayed in several Accor Group hotels in Paris, but this was my first at this Mercure. I chose it as one of the cheaper (though still expensive at €180 per night!) option for 12 September and relatively near my meeting at Porte de Versailles. The area around Montparnasse is pleasant and safe. This hotel was reached directly on line 4 of the metro from Gare du Nord to Raspail. However the room (622) I was allocated is possibly the smallest I have had in Paris. There was room for a smallish double bed and scaled down desk and wardrobe. The furniture was sensibly arranged to make the small space useable. The bathroom had a shower cabinet with easily understood shower. I did not have breakfast, preferring to have it on the Eurostar lounge and train home. Nothing wrong with this hotel but normally better value for money at other Paris hotels in the Group

I recently arrived at the Mercure Montparnasse Raspail hotel. I have been a loyal Accor customer after several years and have been to Accor hotels in different regions of the world. This is already outrageous when I discovered that the hotel's air conditioning system was intact. The day ended at 27 degrees Celsius in Paris. The room is pretty hot and you don't have time to sleep. The hotel staff's responses were always bureaucratic: You must speak to the direction.. there’s nothing we can do right now. They could not turn the system on immediately. They could not change rooms or hotels. It's a lack of sensitivity about the minimum comfort elements that you can expect and that are included in this hotel category. My relationship with the Accor network ends here. Very regrettable.
Response from Property: Dear M. Falcão Martins, Thank you for your review, We are sorry to learn that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. We understand the importance of a comfortable environment for our guests, especially in hot weather. As mentioned by our colleague at reception, in order to reduce our ecological impact, the air conditioning is turned on in summer or during a long period of heat (especially because the difference between indoors and outdoors will not be felt if the air conditioning is on when it is less than 20 degrees). Indeed, the weather was hot during one day and under 15 degrees during all the week after that. Measures have been taken to ensure that this inconvenience does not occur again. To reduce the heat in our rooms and maintain freshness, we ask our housekeepers to close the curtains during the afternoon. We also offer rooms overlooking the courtyard, which are not affected by the heat. We renew our apologies for this inconvenience. We remain available if you wish to call us, Kind regards Stephanie

This hotel was honestly one of the worst I have stayed at in all of my years traveling. The shower leaked which made the bathroom floor filled with water after a short shower. Add that to a tiny 10m2 attic room with a cardboard bed. On top of that we were awakened by someone entering our room the morning of our checkout while my partner and I were asleep. All of this could have been resolved by the hotel, but instead they had a nasty attitude and even called me weeks after my reservation claiming that I lied about the whole situation. If you are in the mood for a lack of class and customer service, here is your new home!

I recently booked a Flight + Hotel trip through allholidays.uk, an ALL-Accor website. It stated that Reward and Status points would be awarded, 1 point for every 2€. I completed the trip and I didn't see any points credited. I inquired about it and customer service told me that this stay was not eligible for any reward because it was booked through *******. I explained to them that it was booked through an ALL-Accor site and included the link and a confirmation e-mail that came from ALL to no avail. So, never again will I book these Flight + Hotel trips. It is false advertising.

The hotel is in a very lively place full of restaurants and cafes between montparnasse and luxenburge gardens. The roon was a bit small without frige but the bed was good and I slept well. Breakfast is good and there are two workers - Moufida and Englandline who are very very nice and take care of the guests.

My usual hotel was booked for the first half of my work trip so I thought I would try this nearby hotel. I’m sure the hotel is lovely…. If you are not in a Standard room. I booked it knowing it would be on the smaller side but I was on the top floor and had only a small attic window, which made it seem claustrophobic. It was hot, even with the A/C on and verged almost on the unbearable. Again, I am sure it is lovely if you are on a lower floor or larger room. I can only judge based on my experience.

The hotel is well located, but the rooms are very small, and the bathrooms are almost non usable (the shower cabin was so small that I had difficulties fitting into it while I’m relatively thin, and I kept bumping into the glass walls while showering). I don’t think I’ll be back - I’m sure there’s a lot of similarly priced hotels in the same areas with decent-sized bathrooms and rooms.

Excellent location in Montparnasse, close to transport, shops and restaurants. I had a 4th floor room at the front of the hotel, very small room with a tiny bathroom. You couldn't really sit on the toilet because the wall was in the way, very poorly designed. The room A/C did not work, however I did not report this at the time to staff. Being in a room close to the lift, it was quite noisy, hearing the bong of the lift and people talking all the time. The double opening doors for the exterior window did a good job of blocking out street noise however. Overall, as somewhere to sleep only for a weekend I would recommend, anything longer or if you want to spend more time in the room I'd recommend choosing somewhere else. The location makes it super easy to explore Paris and also arriving from PNO or CDG is very easy with RER Port Royale not far away.

Booked a hotel by the date error in application through *******. They kept the money, in their reply do not talk at all about the error. One of the employees said that non-refundable prices are lower than usual, which is not true abd really made me angy. Fortunately, I managed to get a better hotel at a lower price for the same day. Beware of unfair business practices.

Very good location within 20 min of metro to the Eiffel tower with no connection, 10 min walk to the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg and many others quick access by metro or by foot. Clean room and decent breakfast. We appreciated the staff for their excellent service. My son of 7 got sick and puked in bed over night and during breakfast time in front of all guest. Thanks to Arnaud and the professional reaction of his team, they took care of cleaning the place with a smile and comprehension. Highly recommended for a perfect city trip
