Good budget hotel, made excellent by the character of the hotel and bar. (Edith Piaf got a room here when she was 14.) The room was at the back with a window to the courtyard. Small room, but with exposed stone wall and decent furnishings, (although the fridge didn't work) and it was clean. The shower room is small and a bit shabby, with mould stains in the shower, but the shower was good and it felt clean. Narrow twisty staircase the the room - added character. Vending machines in the lobby. The bar was great - we drank there both nights and we might have been the only tourists. Some great local characters, which is nice in an area with so many tourists. Staff were very friendly - it's family-run. Great location for Montmartre, Abbesses and Pigalle, but the road is quiet.

I stayed with my niece for 1 night at Hotel de Clermont while she was attending the Paris photography exhibition. We were allocated room 2 which is extremely small but perfectly adequate for a 1 night stay. The member of staff who checked us in was very helpful & he spoke very good English. The bar downstairs was very busy in the evening but didn't keep us awake after plenty of sightseeing during the day. We would recommend if staying for a short break.

What I liked: I received a custom postcard upon arrival.
What I did not: The room/hotel was not as fully depicted in the photos. I understand it is an historic hotel, still, repairs, stucco patchwork and mold should be attended to. I attempted to check out moments after seeing the room. None of the the amenities worked and I was assured a technician was coming to fix the TV and the fridge (which was needed for medication) would be exchanged. No one ever came. In the middle of the night my asthma flared from mold/mildew. There was also an EKG-LED patch on the wall above the bed. FROM WHO?
Upon check out the next morning, the desk clerk was very rude and refused to provide a receipt or proof that I was leaving.
It says no refunds for a reason.

In the heart of Montmartre with everything you need. Near the metro (5 minute walk), shops and good restaurants. Parking nearby (10 minute walk). Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. Shower and toilet were good and we liked the big fridge.
