Booked the most expensive hotel in Paris, and upgraded the room to a suite at the front desk. The room was very big, and I stayed in the hotel. The hotel also arranged a birthday cake, which was delivered to the room at 12 midnight

I just love this hotel. It's everything you could ask for in Paris. I could gush on for ages and ages, but you'd get even bored of reading my thoughts about the place—spoiler alert, it's almost faultless. Pros: Location The staff are amazing. Professional, helpful and seemed proud of their hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed and freshly refurbed. The dining room is stunning. The courtyard had an ice rink when we were there recently. Amazing. The food was on point. Cons: This is a little petty but the bar has seen better days, I'm sure it must be next for a refurb. It still had a great atmosphere though. If you fancy a Paris break and you want to be in the heart of all the best shopping, you can't go wrong. I can't wait to go back.

Had the most beautiful, amazing 3 nights of unforgettable birthday celebration at this hotel. Everything was perfect from arrival with greeting at the lobby with bouquet of fresh flowers , then surprise in the suite, balloons, treats, champagne etc..Tasting birthday dinner at Jean Imbert Plaza restaurant was just wonderful, royal atmosphere, perfect service. Breakfast at this restaurant is a MUST also. And the top of everything was hotel's newly renovated Royal Suite, the beauty of this suite just takes your breath away! Felt like princess :) Thank you so much Plaza Athenee for this unforgettable birthday! If in Paris, only at this hotel!
