Hotel Graphik Montparnasse

I caveat this with the fact we stayed during the Olympics however we ended up paying way over the odds for the hotel which was frustrating. When we got there the same room in the hotel for the hotel stay was the price we paid per night. Knowing this, you'd have thought they would have waved the 50 euro early check in fee when we arrived early. Sadly not. The rooms are clean and functional but very small. The staff are really nice. The location is great, many metro stations nearby on different lines. We found it really easy to get around.

My wife and two children went to Paris a week before the Olympics. The price was good, the location is great and is trendy hotel. A metro station within 15 minute walk and a great skyscraper in 15 minutes as well. Plenty of restaurants in the area. The staff is nice, it has a family friendly atmosphere (although it really depends on the guests), and the hotel has great style.

Very helpful and kind staff, lovely hotel and great location. Walkable to the Saint-Germain area which is my favourite in Paris. Also easy to get the Orlybus to Orly Airport, also the RER to CDG. Some excellent restaurants nearby too, Korean and ramen, also bakeries! Miss them already. Thank you and hope to be back in the future!

While the "graphik" concept is artsy, it was executed at the cost of some basic functionality. Pros: The hotel is well located, clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but the beds are comfortable. Cons: But it lacked basic in-room appointments -- a dresser (rather than a poorly positioned desk); a closet (rather than a bar and a few hangers on the wall); shelves and hooks in the bathroom for your toiletries (not just a window ledge). If you are a traveling on business the lack of some amenities may not matter, but if you are traveling for pleasure it could become problematic.

This is an ideal hotel for a short stay if you don't want to pay a huge amount. It is located close to Montparnasse train station with other Metro stations close by so an ideal base for getting around Paris if you don't want to stay in the middle of tourist central!! Denfort RER-B station is about a 10-15 minute walk so easy for getting to and from CdG. The reception, bar and breakfast area are all situated together but it was never busy when we were there. Highly recommend a St German Spritz aperitif before heading out for dinner made by a lovely lady whose name I can't remember but began with R!! The French breakfast included in our rate was pretty good too. The rooms are on the smallish side which is usual for a Paris hotel like this but they are clean and comfortable with a good shower. There isn't a great amount of storage for clothes hence why I say this is good for 2-3 nights max or if you are travelling very light. A plus point is lots of USB sockets for charging! All in all, very happy with our stay.
