1.75 Paris Le Charme

Hotel in a quiet residential area with good connectivity. Poor housekeeping, rooms generally unclean. There was no coffee maker in the room, but one was provided at reception. There was no refrigerator in the room. Service was quite remarkable. The main receptionists were very helpful, explaining where to go, tourist attractions, etc. However, on Sunday we left at 9:00 a.m. and returned at 6:00 p.m. The receptionist told us we hadn't left the note on the door indicating that cleaning was to be done. We explained that this wasn't true and that we had left the note properly. He went up to the room—in a mocking tone—and explained how to leave the note. (I don't speak French, but the sign is in at least two languages, so it's quite intuitive, and yes, we did leave it properly.) He insisted that we hadn't left the note indicating "please clean the bedroom." She also told us the cleaning lady had left at 5:00 PM, had no cleaning staff, and insisted we didn't leave the sign requesting cleaning. We knew this wasn't effective, so we left the sign requesting cleaning; if she had a cleaning staff who lied, it's not the guest's problem. The receptionist's mocking tone (who wasn't the same one who served us during the week or in the evenings) was quite annoying.

Passable Deuxième séjour un peu moins bon que le premier. Chaise de bureau cassée qui a blessé quand on l'a déplacée. Chambre mal préparée, il y avait une tâche sur le lavabo de la salle de bain. Une seule paire de pantoufles alors que nous étions 2. La boîte de mouchoirs était à moitié vide. Même avec le badge "Do not disturb", la femme de ménage est entrée et nous a même réveillé un matin. La chambre n'était pas très bien agencée.
