Parga Beach Resort

I have just come back from my best holiday ever. Parga Beach resort was better than I could have imagined. The resort was STUNNING. The service was immaculate. I have never been treated so kindly by staff on holiday. The food was amazing, my room was incredible. The resort was so clean and beautiful flowers everywhere. I can't wait to return as Parga is now my favourite holiday destination. Thank you to management and staff for providing me with the holiday experience of a lifetime.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly and could not do enough for you. Also superb resort facilities spotlessly clean and well maintained at least in the new wing where we stayed. However the buffet food was disappointing as it was served lukewarm warm. We would have expected more from a 4/5 star resort. So disappointing as we were on half board with a buffet dinner. When you could switch to the a la carte or Greek restaurant the food was good. There was confusion about the limited menu on the a la carte unless you paid extra.

If you come to this hotel for a quiet restful time then think again. The majority of visitors were families with children who were extremely noisy and the parents were not stopping them. Several times we had to move from beach to pool or pool to beach much as the noise was too much to bear. You certainly couldn’t read a book. If you are a couple with children then this hotel really isn’t for you. Also the rooms, no matter where it was were surrounded by screaming children. Night and day. Most definitely not a relaxing holiday and would not recommend.

An honest review… Positives: The hotel is very aesthetic, beautiful plants and flowers throughout its grounds and modern furnishings. We stayed in the new section of the resort in an Eden Suite. We requested a ground floor which was easily accessible as we have two young children. Our nearest pool was the Kitron pool which was perfect for children and very comfy with padded sun loungers. The beach front is beautiful. Sandy and sun loungers are included with beach towels provided. The staff are all so friendly and they made effort to interact with our children which was appreciated. Breakfast is actually very good. Lots of choice to suit all tastes. I had no complaints regarding the food selection. The not so good: Service!? Sorry but the service is very poor! You will not be offered a cup of tea or coffee at the beach front for breakfast and there are only two self serve coffee machines. You can imagine the queue most mornings so we ended up having to go to the bar instead. Quite frustrating in a hotel rated 5 star. During the end of our 11 night stay they opened the Kokona restaurant for breakfast which is next to the Kitron pool. This was 10 times more enjoyable and surprisingly they took our orders for a hot drink for the first time of our holiday! However it is very disappointing this was not open throughout our stay. Greek night- BEWARE! Absolute chaotic shambles with mediocre food! There is no excuse as this is held every Wednesday and should be well organised. Most tables including ours did not get a drink until we had at least three courses of food. Unacceptable for the price we paid. The food was also very poor. We were sold a ‘feast of Greek flavours’, what we actually got was very poor all inclusive buffet food all served to us at random. You would be given a random bowel of chips and then 20 minutes later a plate of vegetables that are the same ones offered at breakfast? The main dish was a dry plain burger or dry chicken sat on top of a few oily potatoes. Hardly ‘Greek flavours’??? And it is NOT cheap. €38 euro per adult excluding drinks! Absolute disgrace at the price they charged us. Luckily we only got bed and breakfast as the food at this hotel is not good at all. Most people we spoke to that booked all inclusive were very disappointed. There are SO many places to eat in Parga you would be crazy to book all inclusive in my opinion. It is also expensive! We eat lunch some days at the Kitron pool and the food was poor unless you got a pizza. I would advise you walk the two minutes over to Captains beach bar next to the hotel which was lovely and big portions. Our room was very nice and clean however we had limited storage and the room maids were inconsistent. We were not provided new towels very often and coffee pods were not replenished daily, we had to take our opportunity and ask for new towels and coffee whenever we saw a maid. Lovely resort. Parga was lovely with lots of shops, restaurants. Breakfast great at hotel. We had a lovely room with partial sea view, but we were next to where they did yoga etc so had music blaring out. And also next door was like workmen drilling,sawing etc so not relaxing when you went back to your room.

Great hotel, super location. Excellent food and service. Just one frustrating thing, please sort out the situation with having to queue for the coffee machine every morning, by either adding more machines or provide table service fir tea and coffee.
