Good quality motel opposite Raumati garden and near the beach. Parking on site Pool area Very helpful reception staff. Large bedroom/lounge, with well equipped kitchenette. Within 20 mins walk of a number of restaurants and one just a few mins over the road an the beach. Small shopping parade within 15 mins walk inc a small supermarket Excellent value Would definitely stay here again if touring the southern part of North Island.

One reviewer in our family (2Y Toddler) cried when we departed for the fair shores of Upper Hutt, as didn't want to leave our "holiday home" and wanted, not unreasonably, to stay there permanently. No higher praise than that. On a side note, the adults loved it too with a great location and all amenities needed for a relaxing stay.

Was recommended to stay here for work, apartment was nice and clean, very big very spacious. I’m quite a fussy sleeper with the bed and pillow, but bed was comfy and the pillows were good. The shower head could probably be fixed as it was spraying water out one side. The premises were clean pool and spa (didn’t use) but looked inviting. Will stay here again when I’m back for work. Highly recommended

Raumati Beach is an excellent location, it's about 40 minutes from Wellington and it has the feel of a nice safe prosperous town. Kapiti Island can be seen from the hotel and it's a short walk to coffee shops and restaurants from the motel. Raumati Sands Resort itself is excellent, large apartments with the rooms over two floors. Upstairs are the bedrooms, bathroom and downstairs,, kitchen and laundry and sitting room. Parking is on the site and a major plus point for me personally is the showers are excellent. We stayed for two days, but we could've stayed for much longer.

We made a last minute booking for a Studio room on a Saturday late afternoon and were fortunate that they had availability. The large open plan room had a full kitchen, large fridge and microwave. There was a small dining table and chairs alongside the kitchen. The bathroom was large with modern fittings & tapware and had a heated floor. There is a beautiful heated pool in the attractive grounds. A few minutes walk takes you to the small township where there is a good choice if you feel like dining out. Our very nice hosts recommended Thai Lagoon and we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent. We would definitely stay again at Raumati Sands…great location and everything is absolutely spotless.

This place was brilliant. The owner was lovely, very friendly, enthusiastic. The place was very clean and parking was great. The location is so close to the beach and the local village shops. The restaurants are close by and would highly recommend the Thai lagoon just over the road. We would love to come back with friends and enjoy some more time here.
